We believe that Sandy Creek is primed for a breakout season. Not that they have been off the radar in recent years, but the talent and hunger that is present on this roster could lead them to exceed expectations. Jabari Smith Jr. is a Top 5 player in the country nationally and the one of the early favorites to win Mr. Georgia Basketball. Throw in the talent of Washington State signee an newcomer Myles Rice and coach Nickerson should have plenty of cards in the deck this season. Meanwhile they will match-up with an experienced and confident Pace Academy team. Pace’s reputation as the favorite to repeat as champions will always be there as long as Cleveland is at the helm. Harris had a good summer this year, he brings and aggressive two-way mentality to the game. While coach Lakes at Osborne will look to newcomer Zocko Littleton Jr. to take his game to another level this year. Already armed with an outstanding reputation as a shooter, we will see if Littleton can add important pieces to his game and lead the way for the Cardinals.

George Washington’s team reached the Sweet 16 last season and return a group of players that seem poised for another successful season. South Alabama signee Tyler Shirley is a 6-7 forward that has received plenty of attention this fall. Point guard Danny Stubbs could be the difference in this game. His ability to affect the game in multiple ways is notable. Also watch for 6-4 wing Jamall Clyce who plays with a ton of energy and a non-stop motor. The falcons will have their hands full with the combination of Cardell Bailey and Kaleb Banks of Fayette County.
