CLASS OF 2016 Value Recruits

By: @JLHemingwayPSB

Tyree Crump (Brainbridge, Ga.), Showtime Ballers – 2016
The 6-foot-2 guard out of the Peach State will bring an instant offensive presence. The aggressive slasher puts pressure on the defense with his consistent attacking of the lane. He demonstrated his talents at the On the Radar Hoops Elite 32 Session I and earned a number of offers as a result. He recently committed to the University of Georgia and will bring needed offensive fire power for the Bulldogs.

Brandon Robinson  (Douglasville, Ga.), Georgia Stars – 2016

At 6-5, Robinson has combo-guard qualities. He has a smooth game that allows him the score beyond the arc while also being to attack the rim. He has a game that is similar to Cameron Johnson of Athens, Ga., who signed with the College of Charleston this past year. We project that, with added upper body strength, Robinson’s recruitment could take off much quicker than Johnson’s as he has played on the exposure circuit for a longer period of time.

Amarverr Singh (New York, N.Y), New York Lightning – 2016

A 6-6 combo forward, Singh is a skill kid that brings energy to the floor. In multiple viewings this calendar year, he has hit the open jumper efficiently while also being a presence on the glass. He falls into the category of a value recruit, because he will be productive without always needing primary touches. Singh will bring value to any number of programs within the Northeast area.

Eli Wright (Owensboro, Ky.), – Hoop Dreams – 2016

Wright will be classified as a value recruit for now as his recruitment heading into this summer was below the radar. The left-handed slasher proved to be an active slasher into the lane with very good spring in his legs. The 6-5 wing brings value to a program because of his athleticism and scoring ability. Keep his name in mind as a number of college programs are already offering after his July performances.
