Top of the Class

Two of the most coveted options left on the market are Shawntrez Davis of Sound Doctrine Christian Academy and Derek Ogbeide of Pebblebrook High School. Davis has yielded offers from Clemson, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Oklahoma State and SMU. Ogbeide was a standout this summer at the On the Radar Hoops Elite 32. The 6-foot-8 athletic forward runs the floor well and rebounds well in and out of his area.

Stock Climbers

Pebblebrook High School senior Kevin Murph caught the attention of many programs around the Southeast during the July evaluation period at the Elite 32 Session I. The 6-6 combo forward displayed the ability to create mismatches on the offensive end of the floor with his versatile and length.

Tyrell Johnson of Stephenson, Ga., has the ability to stretch the floor effectively knocking down jump shots from the high post or short corner.

Courtney Alexander, Whitefield Academy, Ga., has the length and ability to possibly transition to the perimeter at the next level. Alexander currently holds offers from Kennesaw State, Louisiana Tech, and Norfolk State.

Justin Smith of East Laurens High School had a great summer with the Atlanta Xpress yield offers from a number of programs from around the region.

Sleeper Alert

Anthony Haskins should be a double-double threat each night he steps onto the floor for the Black Knights at Central Gwinnett High School. Haskins has drawn attention from the likes of Charleston Southern and Gardner Webb early this season.

The Citadel and High Point were in this fall to see Berkmar High School’s Josh Culver. This 6-9 post runs the floor well, blocking/altering shots on the defensive end of the floor.
