There may not be a hotter name in the Atlanta area than Jordan Usher this summer. He is carrying the momentum from a big junior year at Sequoyah High School. The 6-foot-7 wing blends outstanding athleticism with a smooth skill set that our OTRHoopsReport.com staff saw first hand at the #EBATop40 Camp in March. According to Usher, his recruitment has reached a red hot blaze as of late. He explains, “My recruitment has really blown up recently. But the schools that are recruiting me the hardest are Arizona State, Boise State, Tulsa and Wake Forest.”

Usher earned an Arizona State last November, which opened the eyes of many in the Metro-Atlanta area that they should take Usher’s game seriously. Usher talked about the latest to jump into the recruitment mix by saying, “Kansas State and Tulsa are the latest to offer. There have been many other schools that have expressed interest.”

When asked about what will be key in his choosing a school, Usher answered “It will need to be a place that is a fit for me. I will need to mesh well with the coaching staff and the system at that school.”

Usher felt confident about his performances last weekend, but you get the sense that he is not satisfied with where he is at presently. He says, “I had a great weekend and the work that I have been putting in is paying off. I am still working to get better. Extending my shooting range even father is the part of my game that I want to improve moving forward.”
