West Coast Competition

The Nike sponsored Las Vegas Prospects competed at the Super 6 Showcase. Schools such as Oregon and Oregon State flew in specifically to track the Prospects this weekend. Their presence helped fill out an already national field.

Stars Shined Brightly

With Naismith Trophy Chairman and McDonald’s All-American voter Brandon Clay courtside, players like Eli Wright of Owensboro, Ky., and Markelle Fultz of Upper Marlboro, Md., solidified their stock. Even though it is only July, these players are already positioning themselves for post high school season honors.

Local Talent Gain National Recognition

Teams from Georgia did not even have to cross state lines to gain national exposure. The Augusta based Team Power have a number of prospects being tracked by schools from the region and beyond. While programs like Q6 and Game Elite drew attention from schools from several different conferences.

Committed Players Show out for Future Head Coaches

Two ELITE 100 players from the state of Georgia in D’Marcus Simonds of Gainesville, Ga., and Tyree Crump of Brainbridge of Ga., showed their talents for the future coaching staffs last weekend. Simonds, a Georgia State commit, dazzled fans with his high flying dunks with coach Ron Hunter watching from the baseline. While University of Georgia bound Crump put on a shooting display for the ages. The 6-foot-3 combo guard burned the nets all tourney long. Coach Mark Fox and Bulldog fans will be excited to see those talents in Stegeman Coliseum in years to come.
