Tyrone, Ga– The Sandy Creek Annual Shoot Out provided a great look at some of the future talent in the Peach State. Sandy Creek High has done a great job of pulling teams south of Atlanta and down in Columbus to take part. We learned a couple of things Saturday afternoon:

By: @OnTheRadarHoops

1)      Elias Harden could be a premier recruit nationally.

Harden, a 6-foot-5 guard, can play multiple positions. The class of 2017 prospect is averaging 28 points per game to start the season. Harden makes good decisions with the ball in hands which allows him to play either guard spot. He is a good shooter with plenty of range. He showed the ability to get into the lane and finish whenever he wanted.

2)      Davion Thomas has all the potential in the world.

Our staff got a chance to see Thomas several times summer at our OTRH Elite 32 Tournament. The 6-foot-9 forward is extremely athletic. He excels in transition where he can outrun defenders to finish at the other end of the floor. Though he isn’t as smooth offensively as some of the other forwards in the class nationally, Thomas showed the ability to effectively knock down the mid range jumper and finish around the rim.

3)      Look for Jailyn Ingram’s stock to soar this summer.

This was Ingram’s first week back on the basketball court after spending his first year on the football field. Georgia, Georgia Tech and Mississippi State offered the junior forward this summer at our OTRH Elite 32 Tournament. Ingram continues to expand his offensive game showing nice touch from 15-17 feet and the ability to get to the basket with one or two dribbles from the high post.
