OTR's The Opening - Frontcourt Studs

ATLANTA, GA – Travel season came on like a hurricane this past weekend with 5 sites and scouts galore covering as much of the ground as possible for OTR’s The Opening, always one of the circuit’s most exciting events. With a large portion of our staff zeroing in on the bevy of 17U talent on hand, I took to the streets and spent time at the outer sites looking in on younger up-and-comers. ATL-Metro Guys Asserting in GHSA Playoffs Pt 2

By: Keith Agran Xavier Shegog | F | Mount Vernon | 2024 (pictured at top) Just a junior and the adjustment to both the transfer and the rugged Atlanta basketball scene has been noteworthy. A sterling athlete who can provide the spectacular, you have to be impressed with the way he’s unveiled a more all-around scoring game with a soft J to go with his finesse/power combo for a team playing its best basketball of the season right now on its quest for the A-D1 title. ATL-Metro Guys Asserting in GHSA Playoffs Pt 1

By: Keith Agran Mari Jordan | G | Norcross | 2023 (pictured at top) Better not gloss over the defending 7A champs especially the way UGA-commit Jordan is showing off the kind of diverse scoring package that has had coaches and scouts drooling over his ability for years. Together with the Blue Devils returning core from last year and speedy PG Bilal Abdur-Rahman, consecutive titles would surprise no one despite 7A’s strength around them. Luke Flynn| G | Walton | 2024  Tall task ahead visiting Grayson in the Elite 8 but kudos......
