OTR Hoops: 2025 Standouts from the Power 24 – July 23, 2024
OTR hosted the Power 24 this weekend, our third and final live period event of the year. Top-ranked prospects from across the region went head-to-head, making for plenty of entertaining basketball. College coaches from every level filled the baselines and we saw several players take advantage of the opportunity. These are some of the most impressive 2025 prospects we saw over the weekend.

6’9 F Jacob Wilkins – 2025 – Team Huncho 3SSB
Jacob Wilkins put on a show this weekend and lived up to his status as one of the top-ranked players in the event. Wilkins’ pairing of insane bounce and 6’9 size simply allows him to play at a higher elevation the other players on the court. He poses a serious lob threat, able to catch and finish at tough angles in the air. Wilkins can knock down perimeter shots if you defenders don’t step out and we saw that against Team Loaded VA when Wilkins hit 5 threes. Wilkins is currently committed to Georgia and they were in to see him over the weekend.
6’8 F Fritz Odige – 2025 – SWFL Hoops Red
Fritz Odige was the x-factor for SWFL Hoops Red who went 4-0 on the weekend. He scored off several dump-offs and putbacks inside while also showcasing the ability to attack from the perimeter and finish at the rim. Odige was relentless on the glass and when he couldn’t get his hands on rebounds, he tipped them out to guards for extra possessions. He definitely passes the eye test too, 6’8 with a solid build. Odige holds three offers right now from Fort Lauderdale, Rivier, and Lagrange.
6’1 PG Jahi Bowden – 2025 – Sunshine Elite
Jahi Bowden had some very bright moments this weekend with Sunshine Elite. When Cameron Bryant went down with an injury, Bowden stepped up and helped carry the load. Bowden is an aggressive guard that can finish around contact at the cup. He also showed the ability to create separation and elevate to knock down shots. Bowden’s athleticism shined with high-flying dunks in transition. After stringing together two solid weekends at the Elite 32 and Power 24, Bowden should be receiving some phone calls.
6’8 F Jordan Taylor – 2025 – SWFL Hoops Black
SWFL Hoops Black went undefeated this weekend and the interior presence of Jordan Taylor is a big reason why. Taylor is a rangy 6’8 forward that provides rebounding and rim protection at a premium. He’s scrappy around the paint, not afraid to fight for loose rebounds or lay his body in the line. He’s not a polished scorer quite yet but did finish several contested lays around the rim. Taylor’s combination of size and motor will be enough for someone to give him an opportunity.
6’2 G Maguire Evans – 2025 – Hawks Elite HGSL
Maguire Evans’ stock is soaring after a huge weekend at the Power 24. Evans averaged 17 PPG on the weekend but his most noteworthy performance came on Friday night when he went for 27 points on 9 three-pointers. Evans is an absolute sniper that can hit shots off the bounce or the catch. He gets it off extremely quick and doesn’t need a ton of space either. Several coaches were in to see Evans throughout the weekend and his recruitment will likely pick up over the next couple weeks.
