2026 6-0 G Zeki Locus – HoopAthens – Morgan County (Pictured)
The Region 2-2A Player of the Year was relentless in a come from behind 58-57 buzzer beating win against Sewer South OTR. Locus is a fine-tuned athlete that uses his speed and strength to get to the rim at will. Zeki breaks down defenders and gets a head of steam downhill. He is able to explode to the rim to finish with either hand and is a sharp drive-and-kick distributor once defenses cave in on him. Locus poured in 23 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal, scoring nine of his 10 field goals in the paint.
2027 6-2 G Jordan Wiseman – Sewer South OTR – North Cobb Christian
Known for his highlight producing bounce, Jordan elevated to score multiple times up close but also cashed in on a pair of threes to finish with 18 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in a last second loss to HoopAthens. Wiseman was shot-ready on the catch when the ball found him on rotations. Jordan showcased his hangtime to score on an alley-oop and a lob on a baseline out of bounds set.
2026 6-2 PG Gregory Dunson – Atlanta Celtics 3SSB – Alexander
Already regarded as one of the state’s elite point guards, Pops further established himself as the standard, erupting for 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in an 80-60 win over Sewer South Unsigned. Dunson was brilliant from beyond the arc, drilling six threes as he hit half off the dribble and half off the catch. Aside from his perimeter shot making, Pops was impressive with his overall feel for the game, the strong-bodied guard unable to get rushed or out of rhythm. Dunson plays with great balance when attacking the hoop, splitting the defense while embracing contact. Pops is the complete package at point guard with his ability to influence games in a multitude of ways.
2025 6-4 G Jayvion Nurse – Sewer South Unsigned – Pebblebrook
The wiry guard had his jump shot locked in against the Atlanta Celtics. Nurse was able to score off the dribble with pull-ups not only from the mid-range but the three-point line as well. The perimeter point producer is more than just a jump shooter however. He’s a high rising athlete that can finish with slams. Nurse has upside defensively as well with his length, able to poke away steals and challenge shots at the basket. Jayvion compiled 14 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in the loss.
2027 6-4 SG Chase Lumpkin – AOT EYBL – McEachern
Following a breakout sophomore season at McEachern, Chase continued his hot play on Saturday with his three-level scoring arsenal. At 6-foot-4, Lumpkin is a lean scoring machine. He understands how to use his body, deftly able to bump off defenders to create last second space before getting to his jumper. Chase is crafty with his dribble when attacking the basket, able to find creases in the defense. Lumpkin is one of the best young scorers in Georgia.
2026 6-3 SG JJ Winston – Sewer South OTR – Rome
What Winston lacks in mass he makes up for with his high-flying acrobatics. JJ is a highlight maker. He’s a threat to clean up misses with putback slams and can finish drives with thunderous jams. Winston creates offense on the perimeter as both a slasher and jump shooter, good at stopping on a dime for pull-ups. JJ is active on defense with his wingspan and made plays on Saturday playing atop the zone.
2028 6-7 W Baer Bailey – Atlanta Celtics 3SSB – GAC
Baer has dynamic versatility. He can be used in multiple ways on offense. Against the zone, Bailey found success when placed at the high post. He is a good jump shooter with range out to the three-point line. Bailey is quick enough to put the ball on the deck to get to the hoop. Baer also has experience posting up and scoring with his back to the basket.
