Kevin Savage – Wheeler High School – 2027

The Wildcats reeled off 13 straight wins since December. They have a chance to complete a perfect 12-0 region record if they can knock off a tough Etowah squad on the road this Friday. Sophomore guard, Kevin Savage, has figured into the equation for success this season. The lefty guard earned attention as a shooter when he entered high school. Lately he is proving he can play make and finish above the rim. Savage will be on the scene for years to come.

Tre Keith – Tri-Cities – 2027

The Bulldogs are on a run in 2025. They have a chance to notch another 20-win season with a victory over Decatur on Friday night. Sophomore guard Tre Keith is a big part of that success. Recently he scored 31 points over top ranked Woodward Academy. He is proving to be a scoring dynamo of which very few defenders can slow. He can put up points in transition or in the half court. He is great at getting downhill to finish at the rim or he can score in the midrange as the shot clock expires. Keith is one to target in the ’27 class.

Jarvis Hayes – Woodward Academy – 2027

Hayes continues to grow in physicality and in production. The 6-foot-5 guard has one of the silkiest jumpers in the state. He punishes defenders who give him room from beyond the arc. Yet he is athletic enough to turn the corner and create space with the ball. The Eagles are eyeing another 20-win season if they can win at least one of the final two games of the season. But their aspirations appear to be more than just regular season wins. If Hayes and company continue their consistent play, they should play deep in the post season tournament.

Justin Wise – North Oconee – 2027

Wise has been one of the hottest names outside of the Metro Atlanta area. He is an electric athlete capable of scoring at the rim. His jumper is solid as well making his ability to put up double digit scoring consistently. The Titans have wrapped up as 23-2 record for the season which includes a perfect record in region play. Is there a team prepared to slow Wise and company down in Class AAAA? We will have to watch and see.

Braydon Langston – East Hall – 2027

Langston is living up to the praise that he earned in the preseason from our staff. The 6-6 wing has the length and athleticism that one normally sees from a frontline player. However, he is proving to be a capable ball handler and perimeter shooter. His ability to create shots in the midrange have key for coach Joe Dix and company this season. The Vikings notched a 20-win season last night with a win over Jefferson, which clinched a No. 1 seed in the State Tournament.

Caleb Wells – Seckinger – 2027

Wells is an up-and-coming prospect in the metro area. The 6-foot-7 wing can shoot the ball with confidence from beyond the arc. While he uses his versatility to affect the game in the paint as well as in the passing lanes. The Jaguars are ending the season on a hot streak as they have won five out of their last six games. They close with Gainesville on Friday night.

Asa Montgomery – Hillgrove – 2027

If coaches are not in on Montgomery yet, now would be a good time to check in. The 6-6 wing has versatility that is special. He contests and blocks shots at the rim and is a perimeter threat on the other end. This combination of skills and impact does not come around often. He still has physical maturity left to embody, but his current trajectory earned him an offer from Kennesaw State just a few weeks ago. The Hawks currently stand with a 17-7 record and look to build some momentum in their final game of the regular season with a match-up versus Campbell.

Chase Lumpkin – McEachern – 2027

Lumpkin is emerging as a go-to player for the Indians this season. The sophomore embraces the role as a primary scorer and is stepping up at critical moments this season. We watched him score 24 points with five 3-pointers in a win over Pace Academy last month. McEachern currently stands with a 20-4 record and No. 1 overall in Region 3 Class AAAAAA.
