OTR Hoops: Coach Juke’s Standouts from The Main Event – April 10, 2025

A selection of standout players from last weekend’s Main Event hosted by On the Radar Hoops.

Cortez Hudson| 2025 | 6’5 Wing | Alabama Truth | 

An electrifying, high-flying athlete with elite bounce and a knack for highlight-reel plays. Johnson thrives in transition, using his speed and vertical explosiveness to beat defenders and finish strong at the rim. He showcased his athletic dominance with several emphatic dunks, underlining his ability to take over fast breaks. A true force in the open court with excellent finishing ability around the basket.

Tyler Spikes | Class of 2029 | Team Chosen | Forward/Center
Tyler Spikes was a dominant interior presence; he made a major impact on both ends of the floor. He controlled the paint with his physicality, consistently finishing through contact and cleaning the glass with authority. Defensively, he anchored the lane as a reliable rim protector, altering shots and setting the tone with his toughness. His strength and effort made him a force to be reckoned with around the rim.

Randy Massey | Class of 2028 | Mentality Elite | Forward

A versatile forward with a well-rounded skill set, Massey can stretch the floor with his three-point shooting and dominate the interior with his physical presence. He consistently controlled the boards on both ends, using strength and effort to make his mark in the paint. His ability to impact the game inside and out makes him a valuable asset on the court.

Lathan Lucas | Class of 2029 | Elite Backcourt | Guard
A true silent assassin, Lucas let his game do the talking. Though quiet in demeanor, his impact was undeniable, serving as the engine for Elite Backcourt. He facilitated the offense with poise, rebounded effectively, found teammates in transition, and scored efficiently at all three levels. A well-rounded playmaker with a high basketball IQ and unselfish style.

Damon Petty Jr. | Class of 2028 | Guard
A poised floor general with strong court vision, Petty Jr. consistently made the right reads and controlled the tempo of the game. He used his strong frame to finish through contact, score over bigger defenders, and play physical on-ball defense. His blend of strength, IQ, and toughness makes him a reliable two-way presence at the guard spot.

Braylon Barker | Class of 2028 | Guard

Barker was arguably the best player on the floor, showcasing his ability to impact the game on both ends with relentless energy. A dynamic playmaker and true stat sheet stuffer, he knocked down shots from deep, used his explosive first step to beat defenders, and thrived in transition. His high basketball IQ and vision stood out as he consistently made the right reads and got to his spots with ease. He capped off his performance with an impressive 29-point game this past weekend.

Nazir Quick | Class of 2028 | Forward
A dominant interior presence, Quick made an immediate impact with his athleticism and energy in the paint. He controlled the glass with relentless rebounding and served as a strong rim protector, anchoring the defense and securing key possessions for his team. His physical tools and motor make him a constant threat around the rim on both ends of the floor.

Michel James Ferguson | Class of 2028 | Guard
A dynamic guard with tremendous upside, Ferguson combines length and skill to create matchup problems. He uses his wingspan to shoot over smaller defenders with ease and consistently capitalizes in transition, scoring on nearly every fast break opportunity. With his ability to run the floor, finish in space, and score efficiently, he’s a high-potential prospect to watch.

Jax Stoner | Class of 2028 | 6’5” Wing

Stoner is a long, sharpshooting wing who made his presence felt from beyond the arc all weekend. He connected on five threes in a standout performance, finishing with 19 points, and continued to shoot it at a high clip throughout the event. With his size, shooting stroke, and scoring consistency, Stoner is a name that should definitely be on the radar as a prospect to watch.

Tahjir Brown | Class of 2028 | Point Guard
Brown continues to raise his stock with every performance, consistently impressing on both ends of the floor. A smart and poised floor general, he makes the right decisions with the ball and creates opportunities for his teammates. Defensively, he’s active and engaged, setting the tone with his energy. He also showed his toughness by finishing through contact at the rim with ease. A rising name to watch in the 2028 class.

Jacori Love | Class of 2031 | Guard/Forward | Devin Butts Elite

Love is a high-motor, high-impact player who consistently brings energy and effort to the floor. His versatility stood out as he protected the rim with timely shot blocking, crashed the boards on both ends, and defended multiple positions effectively. With his relentless hustle and defensive presence, Love is the type of player every team needs on the floor.

Phillip Claybrooks | Class of 2029 | Guard | Georgia Stars
Claybrooks plays the game with ease and intensity, combining a high motor with a smooth offensive skill set. He’s a relentless defender who stays active and disruptive all game, while also scoring in bunches. Claybrooks showcased his ability to score on all three levels, especially from beyond the arc, where he knocked down shots with confidence. A two-way guard with an effortless feel for the game.

Anthony Moreno | Class of 2029 | Point Guard | Georgia Stars
Moreno is a skilled, well-rounded point guard with elite court vision, consistently finding open teammates and creating scoring opportunities. He’s a scoring threat at all three levels, but his ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc stands out, making him a major threat from deep. With his playmaking and scoring versatility, Moreno is a dynamic presence on both ends of the floor.
