OTR Hoops: Day 2 Stars from the Memorial Day Classic – May 26, 2025

ORLANDO, Florida – Day two of the Memorial Day Classic, hosted by On the Radar Hoops did not disappoint. Gamepoint Event Center was filled with top individual and team talent from the state of Florida and other nearby Southeastern states. Here is a selection of individual players who stood out on Sunday of the event.

Isaac Buckley – Showtime Elite – 2026
Buckley, a 6-foot-6 wing from Lake Howell, is an exciting young talent with strength and finesse. The ruggedly built swingman blends powerful dunks with touch on his jumper, a combination that should catch college coaches’ eyes in July. His athletic profile fits what modern college systems desire: a switchable defender who can guard multiple positions. He is just as effective working the pick-and-roll as a rim runner or spotting up in the corner to drain a jumper when the defense rotates.
Whitfield Bynoe – Sunshine Elite – 2027
This was Bynoe’s weekend to shine, earning his due as a top 2027 guard on the OTR Circuit. He led his team to a 4-0 record, averaging 13 points and five assists per game. Remarkably, he also averaged a team-high eight rebounds. As the smallest player on the Sunshine Elite roster, he made the biggest impact, quietly setting the table for his team while teammates like Cory McPherson and Bryce Hoffert drew the spotlight.
Moses Dau – Mikel Brown Jr. 17U – 2026
Off the court, Dau is a pleasant kid with a kind smile and patience for those around him. But once the ball tips, opponents find him anything but pleasant. He rips rebounds off the glass and punishes the rim with forceful dunks in the lane. Though we didn’t get an exact measurement, estimating him around 6-foot-10 or taller isn’t a stretch. As a defensive anchor, he alters shots in the paint and sparks fast breaks with rebounds and outlet passes.
Sky Hedrick – 407 Elite – 2027
Hedrick is a sneaky good guard from the Sunshine State. He punishes defenders who sleep on him in transition, firing off quick-trigger 3s. His ball skills let him sidestep lunging defenders to make plays off downhill drives or deliver timely passes. He caught our eye with a 19-point first half, which included four 3-pointers.
Sayato Ishikawa – Liberty Edge – 2026
Ishikawa makes the list not for his scoring or for flashy play, but instead for well developed skill set. A Japanese native, he has clearly honed his skills over the years to become an expert ball handler and floor general. When you get a chance to watch Ishikawa, notice how his game is not mechanical. There is a fluidity to his game that is usually reserved for American born players. He attends 212 Sports Academy and is primed for a big senior year.
Dylan Janov – Hoop Different OTR – 2027
Janov was one of the most surprising prospects to emerge this weekend. The rising junior, with his unassuming demeanor and smaller frame, still dictates the terms for his team. His ball handling was as tight and crisp as any point guard in the building. Most importantly, with his handling abilities, he stops as quickly as he accelerates, leaving defenders leaning and grasping the wrong way. His 22-point performance in a win convinced us he’s a top 2027 point guard on the OTR circuit this spring.
Kade Manley – Mickel Brown Jr. 16U – 2027
Manley is already a star in Florida as a rising junior, averaging over 21 points per game at Mainland High School. Now he’s bringing that talent and ambition to the grassroots courts, imposing his will on opponents. His shooting draws instant attention, like his five 3-pointers in a 21-point effort on Sunday afternoon. But pay closer attention to his overall game: he’s a strong, quick athlete who handles the ball well and isn’t pushed or bullied by aggressive defenders. When it’s time to deliver winning plays, Manley steps up.
