OTR Hoops: DT Run for the Cup Standouts Part I – April 28, 2025

A list of standouts from last weekend’s Run for the Cup.
By: DT
Xavier Hall – Class of 2028 | CP3 EYBL
Xavier Hall dominated the paint with his size, forcing the defense to double-team him, but it didn’t matter as he still finished with easy dunks. His presence alone changed the offense’s approach, with players passing out of the paint to avoid being blocked or taking heavy contact. He was an unstoppable force inside, controlling the game with his physicality and strength.
Jahmar Maurice – Class of 2028 | Game Elite
Jahmar Maurice is at his best going downhill, where he either scores at the basket or forces a foul — there’s simply no stopping him. His fundamental skills are so sharp that he’s nearly impossible to contain. Defenders can only try their best to slow him down, but even that proves to be a major challenge. His aggressive, polished style sets him apart every time he steps on the court.
Condis Cherry – Class of 2027 | B Maze Elite
Condis Cherry completely took over in the second half with his explosive play. He thrives in one-on-one situations, knowing defenders can’t stay in front of him off the dribble. His relentless attacks kept him at the free throw line, giving his team a big advantage. His hustle and heart make him a truly special player to watch.
Caleb Holt – Class of 2026 | Game Elite
Caleb Holt put on a show by dominating the defense with his athleticism and strength. Guarding him one-on-one was a huge mistake because he simply couldn’t be contained. His biggest strength is coming downhill off a screen, where there’s no stopping him once he builds up momentum. Caleb punished the rim every chance he got and made a major statement with his performance.
Devin Hutcherson – Class of 2026 | Game Elite 17U
Devin Hutcherson isn’t just a shooter—he’s a human highlight reel, catching an alley-oop and throwing down a powerful dunk. On defense, he abused the opposing team with his aggressive style of play, forcing turnovers left and right. His energy and physicality made a huge difference on both ends of the court. Devin made it clear he was one of the most exciting players to watch.
Kevin Savage – Class of 2027 | Game Elite
Kevin Savage is extremely shifty with his handles, making it easy for him to break down defenders and create his own shot at will. His quickness and control with the ball allow him to get to his spots efficiently, and if you leave him open, it’s almost guaranteed that he will make you pay. He plays with a high level of confidence and skill, showing the ability to score from all areas of the floor whether it’s off the dribble, pulling up from mid-range, or knocking down threes. What makes Kevin even more special is that his game isn’t just about scoring—he brings an unmatched intensity, hustle, and passion every time he steps on the court. His energy is contagious, and it’s clear that he elevates the level of play for everyone around him. After watching him play, it’s easy to understand why Wheeler is the 2025 Champs, because players like Kevin Savage set the tone with their relentless drive and winning mentality.
