OTR Hoops: First Look at Power 24 Standouts – July 22, 2024

MARIETTA, Georgia, – Coaches from over 200 colleges and universities from across the country were present to take in the action of the OTR Power 24. Even the coaching staff from the two-time National Champion University of Connecticut were in attendance. Here is a look at a few of the names that got our attention last weekend.

By: Jonathan Hemingway

Brent Ball – ATL Timberwolves – 2026

Ball is a rising prospect from North Georgia. He is a 6-foot-5 wing who shoots the three-point shot with confidence. He also has bounce and athleticism to defend and block shots on the other end of the floor. Ball is a player that we will track carefully over the next year. He has the profile to be a key target for college coaches next year.

Ezekiel Udozorh – BTI Pressure – 2025

Udozorh is a 6-5 wing with elite athleticism. We watched him attack and finish at the rim in a Saturday afternoon match-up. Given his size and twitchiness, he positioned himself as one of the top athletes at the event. The senior recently transferred to North Tampa Christian and is poised for a breakout year.

Derrick Florence – ATL Timberwolves – 2025

Florence stood out last weekend. He provided a nice complement to the Timberwolves roster as a space creator and a defender. He was able to turn the corner with the dribble and finish through contact at the rim. His impact on the defensive end should not be overlooked. He gets into the passing lanes to disrupt the offense’s rhythm, or he can man-up on the ball handler to stop penetration.

Ari Smith – Florida Pro – 2026

Smith earned our attention with a great effort on Saturday morning at the Power 24. He is a high energy guard with size and bounce in his legs. Smith has the ball skill to play on the ball as a lead handler, but he showed his all-around skill at the Power 24. His ability to fly around the court and make plays speaks to his athleticism.

Trey Bradley – Devin Butts Elite – 2025

Bradley earned recognition with a terrific shooting display this weekend. We watched him score 25 points in a Saturday morning game. Nearly half of his points came from 3-point shots. He has quick, efficient release. He guns it with confidence. Bradley is more than just a 3-point specialist, however. He is a good athlete who can impact the game with activity in the lane in the full court game.

Robert Moore – Upward Stars – 2025

Moore is a versatile wing with size and skill. He plays the game at full speed and impacts the game in several ways. Listed at 6-7, he can defend the frontline and rebound in traffic. He turned heads with his open court handling and playmaking. Moore is more than just a lanky, skilled guard who just hovers around the arc. He is willing to stick his nose into traffic and make hustle plays from end to end.

Greyson Turner – UWIN Serventz – 2026

Turner caught our attention Saturday afternoon with his play late in a game at Sequoyah High School. The lefty guard stroked in several jumpers from beyond the arc. He presents good size and possesses confidence on the floor. He is an ideal floor spacer opposite of play-making guards who can draw double teams on penetration. Turner is slated to suit up at Huntsville High School (AL) this fall for his junior year.
