OTR Hoops: Florida Run for the Cup Standouts Part I – May 17, 2025

The Run for the Cup hits the Sunshine State for the first time as On the Radar Hoops scouts are on site at the Seminole Sports Academy in Longwood, which is 30 minutes northeast of Orlando. Here is who stood out on Day 1 of the event.
By: Ross Van De Griek
2027 6-3 SF Ayaan Bhadouria (Team Speights 16U Blue)
Bhadouria, pushing around 6’3-6’4, has a smooth inside-out game on the offensive end, whether he was in the low-post or making havoc in the mid-range game. He was also unafraid when it came to knocking down tough shots from the perimeter, whether it was off the catch or the bounce. Defensively, he showcased his versatility guarding multiple positions and forcing havoc in the passing lanes.
2027 6-0 SG Jalen Bello (Elite 8 Select)
Bello brought a ton of toughness and fluidity on the offensive end, where he pushed the pace with his high IQ, whether it was as the primary ball-handler or his effectiveness when playing off the ball. He was able to get to his spots and was knocking down shots on all three levels, where he finished with 26 points and made six 3-pointers in a win over Pure Passion.
2025 6-2 SG Bryce Hinson (Bombsquad Select)
The 6-2, unsigned senior guard has a soft touch and brings a great offensive skillset. Hinson was very effective when it came to knocking down shots on all three levels, as well as having the ability to make great instincts to get his teammates involved on the offensive end. His defensive versatility continues to speak high volumes, as he was very active in the passing lanes.
2026 5-11 PG Dominic Hendricks (Miami City Ballers)
The 5-11 junior guard is quick and scrappy on the defensive end, where he was able to get deflections and make hustle plays, turning steals into scores on the offensive end. His able to make quick decisions on the offensive end as well as making strong, crisp passes to open teammates on the move, which also caught my attention as he made the winning plays for his team in both games on Saturday.
2027 6-0 PG Eric Nichols (Jumpout Elite)
Nichols is a long and wiry athlete who plays the game the right way and makes an impact even when the ball is not in his hands. His off-ball movement, where he gets to his spots and is a true pass-first point guard, to get his teammates involved before he gets his scoring opportunities. His defensive skillset continues to speak high volumes where he uses his strong frame to apply havoc in the passing lanes, turning deflections into steals and resulting in made baskets on the offensive end.
2027 6-0 PG Dominick Walsh (Bounce Back Athletics)
Walsh was in full-attack mode, where he was relentless when it came to scoring on all three levels and knocked down the game-winning three in overtime to lift his team to a win over Team TMac, where they erased a 4-point deficit in the final 20 seconds. In the second game over Central Florida Heat, Walsh showed his unselfishness when he made the winning plays and got his teammates involved early and often. On the defensive end, he stayed very disciplined and challenged shots around the perimeter without fouling.
2027 6-1 PG Brandon Perkins (Team Speights)
Perkins is a quick and shifty guard who pushes the tempo, where he played mistake-free and was able to get his teammates involved, whether it was off the catch and bounce. His versatility on the defensive end also continues to speak high volumes, as he brought an old-school feel with his physicality.
