A list of standouts from OTR Summer Jam on Friday night.

By: Kyle Sandy

2027 5-11 G Daylen Jones – Atlanta Swish – Creekside (Pictured)

Daylen took over in the second half, dumping in 16 of his game-high 25 points to lead Atlanta Swish past NGU 69-60. Jones was one of the smallest players on the floor in both height and weight, but the wired-to-score guard proved he could get to his spots with ease. Jones used a quick first step and a slippery approach to free himself for hoops. He sank pull-up jumpers but also managed to score in the paint. Daylen added 2 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals to his stat line.

2026 6-6 F Kamso Unigwe – NGU OTR – South Cobb

Kamso passes the eye-test. He’s a strong athlete with a physical approach. He rebounds in traffic and plays above the rim. Unigwe scored on an And-1 drive, two putbacks and showcased a baby hook. Kamso double-doubled with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals against Atlanta Swish. Even though he battled foul trouble, Unigwe controlled the paint.

2026 6-2 G Desmon Cunningham – Southern Empire Emperors – Troup County

Desmon has versatility along the perimeter. At 6-foot-2, the Troup County product can play different spots on the floor. With his athleticism and strength, Cunningham can steal minutes anywhere from shooting guard to power forward. In a 51-40 win over the Crimson Kings, Desmon filled up the box score with 9 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. He hit a jumper from the high post, knocked down a three and used a euro in transition.

2026 6-2 G Tyson Shells – Southern Empire Emperors – Callaway

Sturdy with a high motor, Shells is a positionless player. With his stout frame and nose for the ball, Shells can make a difference on the perimeter and in the paint. He rebounds well for his height and can guard larger players. Tyson sank a corner three and finished around the rim through contact. Shells recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.

2025 6-4 G Justin Beckham – Crimson Kings OTR – Jefferson Christian Academy

I really liked Justin’s game, a smooth three-level scorer with length. Beckham has a polished in between game, hitting mid-range jumpers and floaters. He brought great effort on the glass, double-doubling with his soft touch in the paint posting 21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks against the Southern Empire Emperors. Beckham has nice skills and intriguing measurables to succeed at the next level.

2026 6-6 F Christian Moore – GA Stunners – Alexander

Christian’s impact was felt with his motor and toughness in the paint. The hard-working lefty compiled 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block in a 44-42 win over AJ Bouye Elevate. Christian was active on the glass, finishing with both hands inside. He ran the floor and threw down a dunk, displaying his athleticism. Moore is an important glue guy that can anchor an interior.

2026 5-5 PG Jerron Wilson – GA Stunners – Paulding County

The jitterbug playmaker plays with a chip on his shoulder. He chirps the opponent on the floor and in the stands. He excels at using his low center of gravity to slither his way into the paint. Jerron is a gift passer, driving and dishing off at the last second to create scoring chances. Wilson loves to score the ball as well, a dangerous three-point shooter and crafty finisher against length. In a two-point win, Jerron finished with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Although undersized, Jerron is one of the more exciting guards in the state.

2025 6-2 G Noah Banks – AJ Bouye Elevate – Lovejoy

Banks always plays hard. He has a knack for being at the right place at the right time. Noah moves well without the ball, cutting into open space. Banks does a good job working the baseline for buckets. He scores in the paint and absorbs contact while doing so. He netted a three-pointer off the dribble and went 4-5 from the line as he collected 17 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal.

2028 6-3 W Khristian Brittian – Team Forrest – ELCA

The rising sophomore is a unique player. KJ is one of the strongest players on the floor at all times, a burly wing that can bang inside for rebounds. While he looks like a forward at first glance with his powerful build, Brittian quickly catches you off guard with his perimeter skills and quickness. He’s a physical defender that turns on-ball steals into transition hoops. Brittian is capable of powering his way to the rim, scoring through contact with ease. He explodes off the floor to finish in traffic and is a foul magnet. He went 6-10 from the line and had 11 points after halftime to lead Team Forrest past Redline Elite 49-26, piling in 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
