OTR Hoops: Memorial Day Classic Standouts – Part 3 – May 27, 2025

ORLANDO, Fla.- On The Radar Hoops headed down to Orlando, Florida, where Game Point Sports and Events Center hosted the Florida Memorial Day Classic, which runs through this coming Monday. On The Radar Hoops scouts are flooding the scene and evaluating players from all over Florida and Georgia. Here is who stood out on the final day of the event:
By: Ross Van De Griek
2026 6-7 SF Christopher Perry (Gold Elite)
The 6-7 rising senior wing was the most versatile athlete we saw on the final day of the On The Radar Hoops Memorial Day Classic. His ability to guard out on the perimeter and in the restricted area, as well as challenging shots, was noteworthy, as he plays with a ton of length. Offensively, Perry did most of his work in the mid-range, as well as not being afraid to take shots from behind the arc, where his confidence has grown all spring. Look for Perry to have a big summer ahead prior to the start of his senior season.
2027 6-5 CG Isaiah Chandler (Jet Academy 17U)
Chandler played up this weekend as he was in full-attack mode throughout the tournament, and on Sunday was no different, where he plays with a ton of poise and was very confident when it came to his three-level scoring ability on the offensive end. Chandler was able to finish at the front of the rim while drawing contact, as he had a strong knack for his high IQ, with his passing ability to find open teammates on the move.
2026 6-8 PF Lavant Burgess (Florida Bayhawks- Zanders)
Burgess plays a smooth inside-out game on the offensive end where he did most of his work in the paint as well as having a ton of confidence in taking mid-range jumpers. On the defensive end, Burgess also made his presence felt where he challenged shots around the rim as well as having elite footwork to defend out on the perimeter. He does what it takes to win, as he showed he is a team-first guy, where he can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor. Look for Burgess to have a strong summer season as he heads into a big senior season ahead.
2026 5-11 PG Malakai Cuffy (Florida Bayhawks- Zanders)
Cuffy is a pass-first guard with strong instincts to score on all three levels on the offensive end, as well as a smooth passer to set his teammates up for scoring chances. On the defensive end, he applied constant pressure guarding for 94 feet as well as applying a ton of havoc in the passing lanes, where he had three steals in a win over Liberty Edge.
2026 6-5 SF Tatum Holmes (SEBA Atlanta)
Holmes brought an all-around skillset, whether it was finishing at the front of the rim or in catch-and-shoot opportunities from the perimeter and mid-range. His movement off the ball is what stood out to me on Monday, and he excelled in the pick-and-roll using his athleticism as well as his length to be an efficient finisher around the rim.
2027 5-10 PG Seth Browner (Fusion Academy)
The 5-10 rising junior guard displayed great court vision despite the loss to Florida All-Stars, as well as having the green light to score from all three levels. Browner finished with 28 points and made five 3-pointers where he was one of the top scorers throughout the final day. His defensive presence was a key part in keeping his team afloat where he applied a ton of havoc when it came to guarding on the ball as well as making the right reads in the passing lanes.
2028 6-8 PF Mayar Dhieu (OBG Elite 2028)
Dhieu, A 6-8 rising sophomore wing from Westwood Christian School in Miami, was a consistent rim runner and finished thunderous dunks, whether it was in transition or off lobs. Dhieu showed a ton of length and athleticism, where his ability to guard multiple positions spoke high volumes. Defensively, he showcased his high motor, where he was blocking shots well above the rim and showcasing a smooth handle in transition, where he made tough plays look really easy. Expect a ton of schools to start showing interest in Dhieu as he heads into his sophomore season, where his ceiling continues to grow.
