OTR Hoops: Power 24 Sunday Sequoyah HS – July 26, 2024

Canton, GA- The On the Radar Power 24 was held this past weekend for the final NCAA Live Period of 2024. Coaches from 200-plus colleges and universities were on hand in the many gyms for the weekend. Here is a look at a few of the notable standouts from Sunday’s action at Sequoyah High School.

2025 Nevion Legree– Elmcor Hoops (NY)- The 6’4 Legree is athletic, an active defender, a good decision maker, passes well and runs the floor. Legree makes shots but is more a scorer than a shooter and his activity on defense stands out. As he continues to develop and become more consistent is his perimeter game his overall game will round out nicely with the pride he displays with his defense. In a win over Team Smash Grey Legree finished with 16 points 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

2025 Ibrahim Djane– Elmcor Hoops (NY)- The 6’5 forward finished with 17p, multiple rebounds and blocks in a win over Team Smash Grey. Djane is strong around the rim and cashed in on multiple second chance opportunities. He showed a good touch around the rim and back-to-the-basket skills. While still raw he competes on every possession with energy and defensive fundamentals.

2025 Eli Bannister- We Play Basketball Club (AL)- Bannister picke dup exactly where he left off when we saw him in April at  OTR Birmingham Proven Proven Grounds. Bannaister has crafty moves to the bucket, shoots it from distance at a good clip, and is stingy defender despite his size. He showed growth in his overall game from April by moving better without the ball, staying in front of defenders and rotating better in defense. The highlight of his weekend was 30-point game in a win over Soo fresh. Bannister did not rely on the long ball as he only hit two three-pointers, but it was his mid-range game and scoring with paint touches is where racked up a lot of buckets.

2026 Jacari Glover- D-Favors Celtics (The Lab)- The physical and athletic 6’4 Glover is dangerous when getting downhill. He displayed an improved off the dribble game with the combination of speed and power to go with an improved shooting touch from the perimeter. Glover is aggressive on the glass and defends without fouling. The highlight of the weekend was 30-point 12-rebound double-double in a win over Charge Academy.

2025 Asher Pettus– Stars 2025 Permier- Pettus showed off his deadly perimeter shooting connected on 11- three-pointers in the 3 games we watched. He averaged 15.6 points in those three games and scored by shooting it off the catch and at times off the one-dribble pull-ups. Pettus plays with grit and toughness which keeps in the mix for making impact plays and is always around the ball.
