OTR Hoops: Run for the Cup Standout Performers – April 29, 2025

A list of top performers from last weekend’s Run for the Cup in Marietta, Georgia.

By: Jaron Pierre-Mathurine

Colben Landrew 6’6 F Game Elite 2026

Displayed a confident well-rounded skill set in two big wins Sunday. When it’s all flowing and his shot is falling, he shows his true dynamic. Physical rebounder out of the wing spot, did a good job finishing in the paint and scoring in transition. Big time piece in Sundays wins for GE.

Preston Wade 6’9 F B-Maze Elite 2026

Started in warmups as he was throwing down some acrobatic dunks. Long wingspan and wiry frame he was a lot more physical than expected and showed a true base in the post. Alters a lot of shots, lob finisher, ran the floor well and showed a soft jump hook.

Sansao Wika 6’5 F/G A1 Elite 2026

SW was my surprise watch on the day, and he filled it up en route to 26pts. Short midrange elbow jumpers, ft line jumpers, a few threes and got to the rack. Sansao showed the ability to do it all and do it at a high rate. Defensively he has good size and long arms to be disruptive while being able to guard multiple positions.

Anthony Knowles 5’11 G Florida Pro

He was one of the counter parts in a matchup with game elite where he matched the team bucket for bucket. AK was wired to score, wanted the moment and showed the ability to score from all over the court. A few late turnovers sealed the fate of this matchup for him, but his scoring performance was noteworthy.

Scott Moreman 6’3 G 2027 Hoop Atlanta

Scott has a deceptive frame and with that strength it allowed him to muscle defenders and get to the rim with ease. He likes to set his defenders up getting them off balanced and getting downhill to pick up easy lays or get to the line. Has a nice shooting touch and was a bright spot for this group on the weekend.

 Amari Owens 2026 6’0 G 2026 Kentucky Hoop Dream

Was another shifty guard out of KY that had a nice scoring bag and blend of defense and competitiveness. Got to his spots well, low base and wasn’t afraid of the contact either defense.

Chris Perry 6’5 F Ga Canes 2026

CP seemed to fly under the radar while watching the Canes this circuit, but he had two convincing performances over the weekend. In his first matchup Sunday he was matched up with a 6’9 F and didn’t budge once. Made it very difficult for the big to establish position and showed the versatility defensively to match size and efforts. Aggressive on the offensive end, he threw down some strong jams, connected with short jumpers around the rim and stayed active.

Christian Edwards 6’0 G Mamba Mentality

Showed the ability to run an offense while playing even keep and with good pace. Made good reads getting his teammates involved, penetrating the defense and knocking down shots all over the court throughout the contest.

Elijah Lingo 5’11 G A1 Elite

An electric scorer and zone buster, lingo has great court awareness and a strong ability to score the ball. Effective shooter throughout the weekend and called him a zone buster after he torched his first matchup with midrange/ft jumpers throughout the entire contest. Quick release shooter who can get active after seeing a few fall quickly.

Charles Chienggan-Pur 6’9 F Team CP3 2027

Super active motor and rim runner. Charles did a good job playing big, keeping his dribbles and move set to a minimum and using his size to get easy scores around the rim. He showed the ability to guard multiple positions as well and did a good job on switches and picking up steals.

Kingston Booker 6’5 F 2028 Tennessee Marathon

KB defensive presence was eyebrow raising. So much so in the contest Saturday he picked up an ankle injury in the final seconds contesting for a block. Quick feet is also a football player, so he brought additional toughness and strength and has good length early. Still just a freshman, the base is there.
