A list of standout performers from Summer Jam on Saturday.

By: Kyle Sandy

2027 6-6 W Daniel Hollis – Only1Elite OTR – The Academy Prep (Pictured)

A 2027 reclass, Daniel Hollis was one of the brightest stars on Saturday at Marietta Middle School. The smooth wing has great size and athleticism on the perimeter. Only1Elite looked for Hollis on lobs throughout the game, connecting on one on a baseline out of bounds set. Daniel is explosive but he is more than just an athlete. Against Team WRLD he drilled five threes en route to 24 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks. With his move to the 2027 class expect Hollis’ stock to soar.

2027 6-2 G Jordan Wilkerson – Team WRLD OTR – Darlington

In a heated 57-48 win, Jordan Wilkerson rallied Team WRLD after trailing 27-20 at the half to Only1Elite. Wilkerson caught fire in the second half with an 11-point stretch which featured three three-pointers and a drive to the rim. Jordan collected a team-high 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. He was aggressive getting downhill and utilized one-dribble pull-ups to score from the mid-range. Wilkerson played with emotion as he caught fire peppering the defense with his robust arsenal.

2027 5-11 G CJ Geiger – Team Scoot – Hampton

Geiger had one of the top scoring performances of the day in a 62-60 win over Georgia Legacy. The Hampton hooper poured in 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. CJ cashed in on five three-pointers. Geiger’s speed allowed him to get to the basket to finish with both hands. His activity was felt in the paint as a rebounder capable of sneaking in for putbacks. Geiger is one of the better scoring guards in his grade and has an exciting final two seasons ahead of him.

2027 6-4 W Noah Smith – GA Legacy OTR – Hiram

I love the motor Noah consistently plays with. He fills up the box score routinely with his versatility. In two games on Saturday, Smith collected 17 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block in Game 1 and 16 points and 12 rebounds in Game 2. Much like his overall game, Smith’s offensive skill set is well-rounded. He scores at all levels, able to hit threes off the catch, find hoops off the dribble in the mid-range and also score at the rim. Noah is a good cutter and is a threat to crash in for offensive putbacks. His length helps him guard multiple spots on defense. Smith is a valuable two-way prospect.

2027 6-7 C Leo Aneke – Redline Elite – Blessed Trinity

Leo has upside to track. At 6-foot-7, Aneke is a steady paint producer. He doesn’t need set plays called for him in order to make an impact. He rebounds in traffic and alters shots. Aneke does the dirty work down low. He showcased a baby hook over his left shoulder when scoring with his back to the basket. Leo’s best basketball is ahead of him.

2027 6-6 W Bryce Hoffert – Sunshine Elite OTR – Windermere

There is a lot to like about Bryce’s game. His size on the perimeter is appealing as is his shot making but what really caught my eye was Hoffert’s passing off the dribble. He’s a talented playmaker, using his length to see overtop of the defense when dropping in assists. In a 60-54 win over Team EYA, Hoffert tallied 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. He sank a pair of corner threes, a long two, scored on a putback, on a baseline floater, added a drive and got a breakaway slam. With his size and mobility, Hoffert was able to guard on the perimeter and around the basket. He did a great job being active atop the 1-3-1 zone.

2027 6-4 F Abram Austin – GA Rebels – Houston County

I loved what I saw out of Abram Austin on Saturday. Standing nearly 6-foot-5, Austin has great skill at the forward position and looks like an eventual impact player at the varsity level. Good things happened when the ball was in his hands in a 78-74 win over Georgia Legacy. Austin is a stretchy forward with some point skills. I came away incredibly impressed with how well he saw the floor as a distributor. He found cutters throughout the game passing from both the wing and in the post. Abram has a soft scoring touch. He started off his performance with a ball fake to get a defender out of position on a close out to knock down a long jump shot. Abram scored on putbacks and utilized a hook shot inside. Austin stepped outside to knock down a three to put a capper on his big game, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. I hope to see more of Abram Austin this summer.
