OTR Hoops: Saturday Top Performers from the Sweet 16 – May 19, 2025

Saturday’s top performers from the OTR Top Performers.
By: Kyle Sandy
2026 6-2 G Jaxon Moore – Mike Dean Athletics – Calhoun
I am a big fan of Jaxon Moore’s game. I think he’s ready for a breakout senior season. A multisport athlete who also gets the job done on the gridiron as a wideout, Moore is a strong athlete that finishes in the lane but is most effective with his jump shot. Jaxon is an above average catch-and-shoot three-point marksman that can also get his shot off the bounce from the mid-range. Moore netted four threes against 863 Elite and displayed versatility as he handled the point guard role. He finished with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block. Moore is a trendy prospect that D-III schools should check out this summer.
2026 6-5 PF Warren Moon – Alabama Stars Elite OTR – Hillcrest
Moon’s impact was felt Saturday morning as he outhustled the competition, working hard in the paint to grab offensive rebounds. Warren scored on three putbacks including an And-1 as he compiled 13 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. He was quicker to 50/50 balls than his opposition. Warren ran the floor for easy buckets and utilized a hook shot in a 56-37 win over the CAAT Wildcaats.
2029 5-8 G Trae Sams – 863 Elite OTR – McKeel Academy
Only a rising freshman, Trae Sams showcased big-time upside as a shot maker on the perimeter. Trae hit tough jumpers throughout the game, pulling up on a dime from beyond the arc. Sams’ jitterbug quickness allowed him to get to spots on the floor where he could cash in. He put up 13 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in a 64-46 win, netting three three-pointers.
2026 6-3 W Jahmal Whyte – 863 Elite OTR – McKeel Academy
The three-level production of Whyte was noteworthy. Jahmal is a live body. He is constantly moving on the floor on both sides of the ball. Whyte helped protect the rim when defending in the paint. Jahmal’s athleticism helps his rebound in traffic. He’s a coast-to-coast threat when pushing the ball. His jump shot is a real weapon, hitting three three-pointers along with a mid-range pull-up as he dumped in 21 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks in a win over Mike Dean Athletics.
2028 6-8 C Colt Witzigreuter – Hoop Atlanta Harpring – Holy Innocents’
Colt had a size advantage against Judah Nation and made sure to capitalize, posting 15 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. Colt ran the floor for transition hoops and did well catching and finishing on the move. He had a soft touch in the paint, dropping in floaters. Witzigreuter caught an alley-oop dunk, flashing his athleticism.
2026 6-1 G Cameron Cottingham – FTL – Santa Fe Catholic
The strongly built guard had his fingerprints all over a 58-48 victory. Cottingham’s physicality and toughness resulted in slashes to the hoop. His jump shot opened up things even further, scoring on pull-ups and catch-and-shoot opportunities from 15-feet. Cam tallied 14 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 2 blocks in the victory.
2027 6-5 W O’Jarion Patrice – Florida All-Stars OTR – Treasure Coast
I really like the tools OJ possesses. He’s a smooth athlete off the bounce. Patrice attacks in the full court, able to slither his way to the basket. He scored with both hands and drew contact while doing so, going 4-7 from the foul line. Patrice has a one-dribble pull-up in his arsenal, accurate from beyond the arc and the mid-range. He filed in 21 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 block in a 10-point defeat.
2027 6-5 F Landon Jones – Redline Athens – Jackson County
Big Red is a versatile stretch forward equipped with football toughness. While he has the physicality to bang in the post, Landon also has the skill to score on the perimeter. He is a good three-point shooter. When ran off the line he can get to the rim with either hand. Jones gets on the glass consistently and does a good job walling up when defending in the post. Landon recorded 16 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks in a 60-30 win over Mike Dean Athletics.
