2029 6-2 W Jameon Allen – Team EYA – Morrow
Allen was instrumental in a 51-48 win over Team Scoot. The lengthy lefty did a little bit of everything. Jameon is a smooth attacker. He fluidly goes behind the back as he beats pressure bringing the ball up the floor. Allen plays with a high motor. When he gets into the paint he is a threat to dump off assists to his big men once drawing the defense’s attention. Jameon is a great rebounder with a nose for the ball. Once a shot goes up, he immediately looks to get into rebounding position. With his mobility and wingspan, Jameon has a chance to blossom into an above average defender with positional versatility. He posted 9 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 1 block in the win.
2029 5-9 G Syncere Bankston – Team EYA
The lively guard filled up the box score with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals in a three-point win. Bankston sees the floor exceptionally well. He’s a good penetrator that makes sure not to get too deep where turnovers could occur, instead Syncere is able to feel out the defense and kick to shooters when necessary. Bankston likes to get to his floater and scoop layup in the lane but is also a good enough shooter to hit the open three. Syncere is a ball magnet on both ends of the floor.
2029 5-5 G Mason Park – Team EYA
Mason provided Team EYA with a mature combo-guard. Park made plays off the dribble as a distributor but saw his biggest value come via his outside shot. Park always made sure to get his feet set on jump shots, using sidestep dribbles before cashing in. He hit a pair of threes en route to 11 points.
2029 5-5 G Chris Burgess – Team EYA
When the ball found Chris on kick outs and rotations, he was ready to fire. Burgess sank timely shots along the perimeter finishing with 11 points with three made threes.
2029 6-5 W Nigel Matthews – Team Scoot – Wheeler
The name Nigel Matthews will garner a ton of attention over the next four years. Standing 6-foot-5, Matthews is a versatile inside-out threat. He’s an athletic offensive rebounder that crashes the glass with success. When given the ball on the perimeter, Nigel showed he could isolate and get downhill where he drew fouls. His fingerprints are all over every game he plays with his influence on both sides of the ball.
2029 5-9 G Benny Crane – Team Bo Bell – Lovett
Benny has a varsity-ready build in the backcourt. He’s a strong guard with athleticism, able to slice through the defense to score in the lane. Benny gets two feet in the paint at will, routinely able to blow by his first defender. Crane has a trustworthy floater and is a steady outside shooter with three-point range. He made plays down the stretch in Bo Bell’s 48-47 win over 865 EliteNXT.
2029 6-2 W Jack Staggs – Team Bo Bell – North Atlanta
Staggs is a wiry perimeter player but isn’t afraid to mix it up inside as a rebounder. Jack utilizes his crossover dribble to get to the rim. He found success in the high post with his mid-range shot and scored on a pair of putbacks as he tallied a team-high 12 points in a one-point win.
2029 6-3 W Amir Cuyler – Team Bo Bell – Riverwood
Likely a full-time wing, Cuyler served as a combo-forward for Team Bo Bell, showcasing his versatility. As Bo Bell’s tallest player, Cuyler drew the assignment of defending the post while giving up a few inches. Cuyler’s activity level allowed him to pick up steals while defending inside and out. He’s a rangy defender who can track down blocks. Offensively, Amir can stretch out to the three-point line, hit the mid-range and score around the rim. He produced 9 points in a tight win Sunday morning.
2029 5-9 PG Dorian Douglas – AE5 – Dacula
Dacula has a Day 1 difference maker about to step foot in high school. Douglas was devastating in the semifinals and championship rounds on Sunday, leading AE5 to a title. Dorian poured in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the semis followed by 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in the championship. The lefty scored from all levels. He had two made threes in each game while utilizing his incredible shiftiness to get downhill. Douglas has blazing speed with the ball as he breaks down defenders on the perimeter. Dorian is a true playmaker, a talent that can take over games with his scoring and facilitating.
