OTR Hoops: The Final Run – Sunday Standouts- July 28, 2024

The summer’s final tournament has arrived, and we are in the Sunshine State. On The Radar Hoops scouts, Jonathan Hemingway and Ross Van De Griek are on the grounds of the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus in Wesley Chapel. Here are some of the standouts from Sunday:

By: Ross Van De Griek

2025 5-11 CG Camp Wyatt (Reach Higher Kings)

The 5-11 rising senior guard continues to have a stellar summer as he brought a smooth handle and played with a ton of confidence on the offensive end. Wyatt has a smooth release of his jumper and scored on all three levels throughout the weekend. Defensively, Wyatt made his presence felt when guarding the passing lanes as his deflections and steals led to baskets on the other end.

2025 6-2 SG Dreshawn Harvel (Tennessee Panthers)

Harvel listed at 6-2 is an instant energy maker and plays with a ton of poise on both ends of the floor. Defensively, Harvel uses a ton of quickness where his athleticism allows him to crash the boards and dictate the pace offensively. Harvel is a three-level scorer and could gain a lot of interest as he enters his senior season.

2027 6-3 CG Eli Ahlers (Team Speights)

The 6-3 rising sophomore combo guard plays with a ton of confidence when he gets to his open spots and can score on all three levels. Ahlers also made a ton of notice with his off-the-ball play as he moves effectively without the ball in his hands. Defensively, Ahlers can guard multiple positions and use his athleticism to his advantage on the glass. Ahlers will be a name worth keeping tabs on in the next few years.

2027 6-2 SG JJ Page (Florida One Time Legend Hoops)

The 6-2 lefty guard knows how to play with a combination skillset of size and speed. Page’s game has blossomed since his 8th-grade year and is starting to put scouts on notice. Offensively, Page showcased his quickness where he can score off the catch and bounce at a high level. Defensively, Page guarded multiple positions and challenged shots at the front of the rim. Look for Page’s game to continue to grow as he enters his sophomore year.

2024 6-0 CG Jordan Roque (Pro Holmes Elite)

The 6-0 combo guard and Regent University signee brought his ability where he can be a primary ball-handler as well as play off-the-ball at a high level. Roque showcased his strength where he was able to finish at the rim on the attack while absorbing contact. Defensively, Roque showed a lot of quickness when it came to guarding the opponents’ primary ball-handler as he has polished his game where he can make a difference at the next level.

2027 6-3 CG Ayaan Bhadouria (Team Speights)

The 6-3 rising sophomore combo guard showed a ton of length and had a strong finish around the rim whether it was off a put-back or in the post. Bhadouria shows great court awareness when he found open teammates on the move as his passing instincts have continued to improve. Defensively, Bhadouria showed his versatility where he guarded multiple positions on all three levels using his frame to stay in front of opposing guards.

2025 6-3 CG Aiden Hawkinson (Wisconsin Playmakers) – Pictured at Top

Not a lot of 6-3 guards can play a smooth inside-out game, but Hawkinson struck my eye when he was catching passes on the low block as well as out on the perimeter where he made defenders pay with his ability to score on all three levels. Defensively, Hawkinson also showcased his ability where he can be a ball disruptor whether he’s guarding the ball or jumping the passing lanes. Excited to see the growth in Hawkinson’s game as he enters his senior year.
