OTR Hoops: The Florida Opening Day 1 Standouts – March 23, 2025

On The Radar Hoops is back in the Sunshine State this weekend for The Florida Opening. We are breaking down some of the top prospects from Saturday.

2027 6-4 SF Shannon McArthur (Team Speights 16U Red)

Shannon McArthur, A 6-4 sophomore small forward, did a smooth job when it came to guarding on the ball as well as off the ball on the defensive end. On the offensive end, McArthur threw down some emphatic dunks in transition, whether it was off the catch or the bounce.

2026 6-4 SF Juwan Scippio (North Point Youth)

Juwan Scippio, A 6-4 junior wing was very effective in scoring off the bounce and catch. Scippio is a natural three-level scorer on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he showcased his versatility where he can guard multiple positions causing havoc in the passing lanes as well as being a solid rim protector in the paint.

2026 6-9 PF Hendrix Loughridge (PSB Tampa Bay Robbie OTR)

Hendrix Loughridge, A 6-9 junior power forward, has burst onto the scene early in the Grassroots season, displaying his elite rim protection and length on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he knocked down a couple of 3-pointers in transition off the catch. Loughridge is an emerging prospect with heavy D-1 interest heading into his senior season.

2027 6-3 SF Micah Jarvis (PSB 15U Horn)

Micah Jarvis, A 6-3 rising junior wing, has one of the utmost potential from anybody in the class where he plays with elite footwork and confidence around the rim. Jarvis also plays with high energy on the defensive end, where he can guard multiple positions using his length and athleticism. His presence around the rim has gradually improved since the start of his sophomore season.

2027 5-10 PG Miles Morrell (Team Speights 16U Red)

Miles Morrell, A 5-10 sophomore point guard, showed his savvy quickness with the basketball in his hands, where he also displayed a great IQ and feel for the game. Morrell also showed his ability where he can guard multiple positions on the defensive end with is quickness and ability to rim protect for his size.

2026 6-1 PG Sam Quebedeaux (SE Elite 17U Select)

Sam Quebedeaux, A 6-1 junior point guard displayed great leadership skills in the nightcap against Holiday Hoops where he was facilitating as well as scoring on his own. Quebedeaux knocked down four 3-pointers in the second half against Holiday Hoops. He also didn’t get rattled today in either game where he played at his own pace proving to be a consistent threat from behind the arc.

2026 6-7 SF Xander Bluhm (Oviedo Magic 17U Tate)

Xander Bluhm, A 6-7 junior small forward, showed some elite footwork as well as having the ability to stretch the floor on the offensive end. Bluhm was knocking down 3’s off the catch as well as showing confidence in shooting off the bounce. His inside-out game around the rim has also improved where he can be effective. Defensively, Bluhm showcased his ability to guard positions 1 through 4 as well as defend the rim without fouling. Look for his upside to continue to grow as he heads into his senior season.
