OTR Hoops: The Starting Five from The Opening – March 14, 2025

MARIETTA, Georgia, – The OTR spring circuit kicks off with The Opening. Teams from all around the state came to get competition and exposure. Here is a first look at players who caught our eye on Friday night.

Justin Cunningham – Georgia Legacy – 2026

Cunningham earned a reputation at Lanier this past season as a long-range marksman under the guidance of coach Branden Mayweather. We can see that Cunningham has been hard at work to expand his game to be more than just a complementary shooter. He put the ball on the deck with determination and scored the ball around physical defenders. He finished with 25 points for Legacy and is on a trajectory to earn even more attention this spring on the OTR Circuit.

Isaiah Johnson – Mamba Elite – 2026

Johnson is an impressive athlete with length and wingspan. His game is more than just athleticism. He showed the ability to score the ball in traffic. He takes the bump and can kiss the ball off the glass with touch. Johnson finished his opening game with a game high of 26 points. The 6-foot-2 guard should be on everyone’s radar coming out of this weekend.

Cam Selig – Athlete’s 1st – 2026

Selig is one of those players that coaches love to have on their roster. He is a player who does not need a lot of primary touches to be productive. He anchors the offense in the high post and on the block as a screener and passer. He is more than capable of scoring in 1/1 situations as well, because of his body control and footwork. On defense, he plays solid positional defense and starts the break with rebounds.

Torian Greene – Georgia Canes – 2026

The Canes made some noise in the opening game of the night. They played with enthusiasm and energy that was infectious. The guard play seemed to ignite the passion. Greene was in the mix with those defensive spurts. He demonstrated great defensive instinct and the ability to turn steals and deflections into fast break points. Greene and the Canes are far from being finished this spring.

Chane Bynum – Tier 2 Elite – 2025

Bynum is an available senior that deserves more looks this spring. Listed at 6-10, he played above the rim and will also face the bucket on the perimeter. He demonstrated wing skills that is very interesting for college coaches. He glides around the arc with agility and has a feathery release on his jumper. The ceiling on the hardwood is high for Bynum.
