#OTRHoopsReport – EBA Top 40 Camp Around the Rim – March 14, 2014

Simon Shafack continues to improve his stock and his game as a class of 2014 prospect.

Buford, Ga. – The inaugural EBA Top 40 workout was a success, because it gave our OTRHoopsReport.com a glimpse at parting seniors while also getting a look at future stars in the region.  Here is a look back at some of the notable from “The Factory” at Bogan Park.

A prospect that has steadily fought to be on college coaches’ radar this season is Simon Shafack of Sugar Hill, Ga. The 6-foot-4 unsigned senior brings a number of athletic tools that will translate instantly to the next level. He took a visit to South Georgia State College earlier this week and will be at the CoachHemi.com Showcase this upcoming weekend.

Marquise Lanier of Grayson, Ga. is another unsigned senior who showed very well at the Top 40 Spring Workout. His strength at attacking the rim and the multiple jumpers that he hit made him a notable performer.

Post players are a scarce commodity these days, but class of 2015 forward Trey Williams of Kennesaw, Ga. proved that he could be a productive force at 6-5. He is a willing rebounder and even showed the ability to hit the step-out jumper.

Another post player to watch for next season is Branden Maywether’s class of 2015 forward Anthony Haskins from Central Gwinnett High School. His combination of length and athleticism makes him prospect that instantly goes on the radar.
