PROGRAM REVIEW: HEAT CHECK

While many college coaches are scrambling to find commitments in the class of 2015, there have been several that are already planning ahead for the future. The Georgia based travel program, Heat Check, features a guard oriented roster that is packed with class of 2016 prospects. Those colleges that have followed this team this year knows that next summer will only mean more attention for this talented squad.
 
Shun Williams, the owner of On the Radar Hoops, Inc., says “Coach Jerome Weaver has done a terrific job of assembling some of the best rising juniors in the state of Georgia. His hard work paid off with an outstanding summer.”
 
That success is evident is a 70-7 record over the course of the spring and summer months. They even finished the month of July with a tournament championship at the Las Vegas Fab 48. These individuals are poised to have an outstanding high school seasons and are bound to see their recruitment take off even more in coming months.
 
Following their performance at the On the Radar Hoops Elite 32 Session I, several players picked up new offers and interest. Guard Christian Turner of Fayetteville, Ga., picked up offers from Winthrop and Old Dominion after showing his dynamic play making abilities. Shooting guard Kevon Tucker of Dacula, Ga., is an intriguing wing player standing at 6-4. He used momentum that he built during the high school season to create even more buzz during the month of July where he picked up offers for Charlotte, Georgia State and Tulsa.
 
Two players that have taken their games to the next level are Jordan Lyons of Peachtree City, Ga., and Kai Lambert of Lawrenceville, Ga. Lyons a 6-1 shooting guard picked up offers from Liberty, Old Dominion, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Troy following the Elite 32. While Lambert, at 6-3 with good athleticism, has rounded out his skill set nicely to produce consistently on the floor. He picked up an offer from Liberty.
