OTR Hoops: Sunday Top Performers from the Sweet 16 – May 19, 2025

Sunday’s top performers from the OTR Top Performers.

By: Kyle Sandy

2027 6-1 G Hogan Labyak – Atlanta Timberwolves White – Bishop Kenny

Labyak put on an offensive clinic Sunday morning, pouring in 34 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal while sinking seven three-pointers. Hogan’s elite shot making made the defense pay any time they weren’t glued onto him. Labyak moves well without the ball, getting his feet set on the catch immediately. While his three-point shot was his biggest weapon, Hogan proved he was much more than just a shooter, attacking the rim with both hands while scoring through fouls. Whenever the defense rushed out of control to stop him, Labyak either attacked with one-dribble pull-ups or swung the ball to the open man. Labyak is a potent scorer who should rise up recruiting boards quickly.

2027 6-3 G Jake Reinhart – Florida Pro – Elite Academy

Jake got cooking and let the defense know about it as he dumped in 20 points. Reinhart is a skilled perimeter scorer. He gets to his spots and uses some subtle shiftiness to get to the rim. Reinhart finishes with both hands. He’s adept at scoring off the bounce with pull-ups, showcasing range out to three-point line. Jake plays with an edge, chirping defenders after giving them buckets. His microwavable offense keeps his team in most games.

2026 6-4 W Keshawn Andrews – Tampa Elite – Dunedin

The activity that Andrews brings affects all areas of the game. He is a rangy defender with a nose for the ball. In a 52-32 win, Keshawn found all his points in the paint, scoring on drives and in transition. He put up 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 6 steals and 1 block.

2028 6-0 G Xion Burgess – Carolina Premier White

I absolutely loved the effort Xion brought to the table in a 51-49 win over a much larger Promise Elite team.  Standing around 6-foot, Burgess was pressed into playing in the frontcourt. For what he lacked in height, Burgess made up for with his heart. Xion was relentless on the offensive glass, scoring on four putbacks. The righty scored around the rim with his left hand a whopping five times. Burgess battled until the final buzzer. He had a game-saving come from behind block with seconds left that eventually set up the opportunity for Owen Piepkow to win the game at the buzzer. Xion posted 17 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block in an inspiring performance.

2028 6-5 W Jaryn Williams – Promise Elite – Grayson

Jaryn passes the eye test. He has an athletic frame that will only continue to improve as he adds on even more muscle. His defense ignited his offense against Carolina Premier, using his length and quickness to cover ground when picking off passes. Williams defended inside and out. He rotated down to block shots using his foot speed to recover. On offense, all five of his field goals came in the paint to finish with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Williams has the tools to become a high-level player.
