OTR Hoops: Elite 32 Friday Top Performers – July 15, 2025

A selection of top performers from Thursday at the Elite 32.
By: Kyle Sandy
2026 6-2 G Chaz Rose – Salt Lake Rebels
The shooting performance of the weekend came from Chaz Rose, an incredible 11-made threes en route to 35 points in a blowout win. The long-armed guard has a smooth, effortless release with deep range. Rose was shot-ready on the catch and was able to knock down shots off the dribble as well. When Chaz wasn’t burying threes, he was making a difference with his vision, shoveling in assists on downhill drives.
2026 6-7 F Kaiden Brown – Devin Butts Elite OTR – Lowndes
What can Brown do for you? Rebound and protect the rim. Kaiden was a workhorse in the paint in a 59-55 win. He collected 12 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 blocks. The lefty aggressively pursued caroms, scoring on three putbacks. He flashed the ability to attack from the wing as well.
2026 6-8 C Landon VanPelt – Missouri Phenom
An imposing offensive tackle with great size and strength, Landon impacts games on the hardwood with a blend of power and finesse. VanPelt does well sealing for high-low looks and is able to score through fouls. What stands out most about Landon is his soft touch. He’s a steady jump shooter with range out to the three-point line. He’s effective in the high post and with his stature and vision, can be used to initiate sets with his passing over smaller defenders. Landon recorded 12 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal vs. Devin Butts Elite.
2027 6-11 C Teke Deng – VWBA Elite
Deng is still filling out his frame and improving his hands but there is a lot to like about Teke’s future. He’s extremely mobile for his height and does a good job rim running for buckets. He high points rebounds. Quick off his feet, Teke is a threat to catch alley-oops. Becoming an impactful rim protector needs to become a defensive calling card.
2027 6-9 W Keller Daugherty – VWBA Elite
Keller is a handful inside and out. Daugherty stretches out to shoot the three and is blossoming as an off the bounce attacker. He makes his presence felt in the paint as he rebounds and scores with both hands. Keller’s size and skill will draw college attention.
2027 6-0 G Dalton Price – Mamba Elite OTR – Lassiter
I came away impressed after my first look at Price. The crafty lefty has a vast offensive arsenal. He’s a good three-point shooter who has a deceptive first step when closed out on too hard. Price finishes well in traffic, dropping in a teardrop floater. He is tough with the ball. Price is an interesting combo-guard to keep an eye on over his final two seasons.
2026 6-2 G Troy Henry – NGU OTR – Sequoyah
Henry brings a lot to the table for his NGU team. The wiry guard is active on both ends of the floor. He hunts his offense at all three levels. In a 59-51 loss, Troy hit a mid-range jumper, scored on a drive, sank two threes and converted a putback on his way to 17 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Henry’s length and effort on defense are valuable traits.
