Kennesaw State lands commitment from 6-foot-6 wing Levi Ball

By: Ross Van De Griek

6-foot-6 senior guard Levi Ball, out of Gray Collegiate School in Columbia, South Carolina, has committed to Kennesaw State, part of the Atlantic Sun Conference, on Thursday.

Ball came over to Gray Collegiate last season after spending his first two high school seasons playing at Salado High School in Salado, Texas. During his junior season, Ball averaged 13.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game for the War Eagles, where his recruitment started to gain notice. During his freshman and sophomore seasons, Ball totaled over 800 points and 350 rebounds with the Eagles.

Ball chose the Owls over notable mid-major programs such as Dallas Baptist, The Citadel, Marshall, Navy, Northeastern, North Florida, among several others.

Ball is a confident player when he has the basketball in his hands, where he displays a great skill set of scoring on all three levels, passing, and adds a smooth handle for his size. Defensively, he adds a ton of versatility where he can guard positions 1 through 4 using his length at the rim, where he can alter and block shots, as well as apply consistent pressure in the passing lanes.

During the Grassroots season, Ball plays for Middleton Hoops Elite, which is part of the Nike EYBL Circuit sponsored by Washington Wizards guard Khris Middleton.
