OTR Hoops News: Jaron Saulsberry Commits to Ole Miss

By: Ross Van De Griek

Jaron Saulsberry, a multi-positional prospect, announced his commitment to Ole Miss on Wednesday, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

Saulsberry, A 6-6 three-star shooting guard currently attending Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia, chose the Rebels over Georgia, Georgia Tech, TCU, Washington, and several other Power 4 offers after coming off an impressive summer.

Saulsberry previously attended Norcross High School, where he led the Blue Devils to the Class AAAAAA Regional Finals last season before having their season eventually come to an end against the reigning state champion Wheeler Wildcats.

Saulsberry spent the Grassroots season playing for JET Academy on the Nike EYBL Circuit, where he averaged 14.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game during the Peach Jam.

Saulsberry is one of the top two-way players in the state of Georgia, playing with a high motor on both ends of the floor. On offense, he is an ultra-aggressive wing who can finish above the rim as well as improve his perimeter shooting. On the defensive end, he is quick and explosive to jump the passing lanes, as well as having the ability to alter shots at the rim with his length.

Saulsberry is the first commit in the upcoming recruiting cycle for Chris Beard and the Ole Miss Rebels.
