Nolan Ericson commits to Hampden-Sydney College

Class of 2026 guard Nolan Ericson of Mooresville High School (NC) gave his verbal commitment to Hampden-Sydney College last week. This is the second PSB Elite guard to commit to the Tigers this fall. Mack Walters was the first with his commitment last month.

Ericson caught fire on the OTR Circuit this spring earning praise from nearly every evaluator and getting online recognition from three separate events. Here is what Jenn Brazelton wrote from the Sweet 16 in May:

2026 G Nolan Ericson had a standout weekend for PSB Elite. The lefty averaged over 20+ points per game finding scoring opportunities all over the court. Ericson is a high percentage scorer, knocking it down off the catch after ball screens or driving for a mid-range pull up or lay-up at the basket. He is an effective guard with a high IQ that reads the defense well to find scoring opportunities.

Everyone who watched Ericson immediately recognized his toughness and IQ. However, his coaches praise his character even more than his basketball abilities. Here is what his club coach, Chris Goodrum with PSB Elite, had to say when asked what he will remember about coaching him:

Watching Nolan for the past two years has been an absolute privilege. From day one, his focus, energy, competitive spirit, and joy for the game stood out. He is a high IQ guard who can get downhill, create for others, and knock it down from deep, but what makes him special goes far beyond the stat sheet. Nolan is a leader, a culture driver, and simply a phenomenal young man. Hampden-Sydney is getting someone who will elevate their program on and off the court, and we could not be prouder of him.

Ericson’s high school coach, Armard Moore, had this to say as well:

Coaching Nolan has been nothing short of amazing. He is a special player and an even better kid, one of those that I am truly grateful to have coached. I am proud of his commitment, and I know that his future is going to be bright.

VISITS

Class of 2026 guard Andre Dupree of Allatoona High School visited Maryville College last weekend. He competed with B4 Academy on the OTR Circuit this summer.

Class of 2026 guard Justin Cunningham visited New College of Florida last weekend. He played for Georgia Legacy on the OTR Circuit and will suit up for Saint Francis this fall.

Future Viewing

Warner Robins All-Stars have several promising underclassmen from Middle Georgia. They featured a few of them on their social media this week.

Jarvis Williams of Central-Macon High School earned attention from our staff this summer with his shooting prowess. Here is what our staff writer had to say from the Elite 32 in July:

Jarvis Williams knocked down multiple threes—even when tightly contested—it didn’t matter, he still buried them. He can get to the basket with ease, making him a dual scoring threat. He’s like a silent assassin on the court, quietly putting up buckets and making a big impact.

That shooting skill is verified in that he drained 96 3-pointers as a freshman and set a school record in the process. Check Williams’ highlights courtesy of Hype South Media below.

Karon Plummer is an emerging star with the All-Stars and Houston County. Already standing at 6-foot-4, he is a smooth, skilled guard that can slice up the defense in a number of ways. Karon’s brother, Kameron, is a Warner-Robins All Star alum and will suit up for Middle Georgia State in the Peach Belt this summer.

Keith Agran was the first OTR staff writer to recognize Karon. He identified him at the Breakout Camp in 2023. This is what he had to say:

Among a handful of 8th-graders on hand Plummer showed a lot of the same traits that have made older brother Kameron a big-time emerging name out of Middle GA in the 2025 class, again the PG-instincts and decision-making mirror his brother and as he matures physically we could see him score it with similar variety to Kameron as well.
