Bradley Floyd, A 6-5 senior shooting guard out of Winston-Salem Christian School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has announced his commitment to Austin Peay on Friday
Floyd chose Austin Peay over Appalachian State, Bethune-Cookman, Charlotte, Florida State, San Jose State, and Toledo.
During his junior season at Winston-Salem Christian, Floyd averaged 10.5 points per game, where he led the Lions to a 34-6 record. During the Grassroots season, Floyd played with Team United Hoops on the Nike E16 Circuit.
Floyd is a well-rounded guard with a versatile skillset and can be a reliable offensive threat as a shooter, penetrator, and facilitator. His length and athleticism allow him to play multiple positions, as he can play the wing as well as the point guard position. On the defensive end, Floyd is an impactful player who can guard positions 1 through 4 using his speed and ability to be a disruptor in the passing lanes. He is also considered to be an underrated passer and has great court vision for his size. His ability to handle the basketball and continue to gain a consistent jump shot has led him to lean towards playing the lead-guard position this season.
Before transferring over to Winston-Salem Christian, Floyd played at Kings Mountain High School, where he averaged 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game during his sophomore season while shooting 51% from inside the arc, 32% from behind the arc, and 69% from the free-throw line.
