The UHOOPS Exposure Camp put the 2029 class on the floor Saturday. The camp setting provides a different perspective than a typical travel basketball weekend. We were able to see the skills up close and which players can make the simple plays in the drill and in the game. Here are six names that stood out.

4 — Devon Francis – Peachtree Ridge – Point Guard
Francis is a point guard who ran the show effectively at the camp. He was confident attacking the rim with his weak hand and proved he can score off the move. He is more than just a slash-and-score guy, though. He drained the jumper at the top of the key while also being a willing passer in the half-court set.

5 — Liam McTeer – Mt. Bethel – 6’ Point Guard
McTeer has built a reputation as one of the steadiest point guards in the Metro area over the past year. He led the Atlanta Standard 15U squad to one of the top records on the OTR Circuit. He backed up his reputation with another strong outing at this camp. He is a consistent shot maker while also having poise as a decision maker in the half court. He will look to continue his momentum with a strong sophomore outing with Mt. Bethel.

15 — Miles Ebong – Pace Academy – 6’1” Guard
Ebong proved himself as a capable shooter during game play of the camp. He baited defenses into closing out long on him, which unlocked the other parts of his game. He keeps his eyes up when attacking the lane while playing with confidence in traffic. There should be optimism around his game since he can impact the game in a few different ways.

19 — Ebenezer Essien – The Walker School – 6’7” Forward
Essien is a promising hybrid forward. He appears to be growing into his frame and getting comfortable being that big. He can impact the game around the rim with defense and rebounding. Yet what caught our attention was his face-up handle, which included a little shake in his step. That will be tough for opposing interior players to handle. He also showed confidence on his jumper. He is a guy that we expect will be talked about quite a bit this season at The Walker School.

20 — Jevin Finley – East Coweta – 6’4” Guard
Finley has as much upside as any player that was at the camp last weekend. His blend of size, athleticism, and skill is worthy of optimism. He showed some flair with a powerful dunk in transition in game play. We caught a glimpse of Finley’s game earlier this spring. We made note of his promise then, and he looks to be on a trajectory to become one of the state’s top wings in his class.

26 — Kameron Mays – Central Gwinnett – 6’8” Forward
This is our second chance to watch Mays this fall. We first identified him as a standout prospect from the Breakout Camp in August. He built upon that evaluation with another strong showing here. His versatility stood out. He scores off the move and showed touch off the glass in traffic. He caught lobs and drained 3s in the half court as well. For a player his size and age, there is reason for optimism this season with the Black Knights at Central Gwinnett.
