ATLANTA, Georgia – OTRW was in the building for the third weekend of the Show-and-Tell Fall League at Maynard Jackson High School. This setting gives our staff a good look at which teams and players are poised for successful seasons. Here are five players we highlighted in our notes from last weekend.

Micahla Butler – McEachern High School – 2029

Butler showed her talent once again on Saturday. She splits ball-handling duties with backcourt partner Paris Wilson to create one of the best duos in the state. Butler is a creative playmaker with the ball in her hands. It was her shot-making that caught our attention this week. She drained 3-pointers and connected on runners in the midrange. Her game is coming into form after a quality summer with Team Elite on the 3SSB Circuit.

Jazmin Maddox – Newton High School – 2028

Maddox had a superb day at the Fall League. She was a big reason Newton rolled through both of their opponents on Saturday afternoon. She looks taller than the 5-foot-9 listed on her social media profile. The part of her game that projects to translate immediately to the collegiate level is her jumper. She has a high release that is consistent from beyond the arc and in the midrange. She also does a good job of getting elevation with her legs into her release. Expect Maddox to hit her stride this season and for the Lady Rams to once again be contenders in Class 7A.

Kailyn Chapman – South Effingham High School – 2027

Chapman is a talented guard who deserves more recognition. She is a sticky defender who can match opponents step for step in the open court. With the ball in her hands, she proved she could turn the corner on some of the best players in the gym last weekend. What she lacks in height, she makes up for in production and leadership. Head Coach Alexus Parker is looking to build around Chapman’s talent and find momentum for this season.

Zoe Hill – Eagles Landing Christian Academy – 2028

Hill was a new face for us to evaluate at the Fall League. The 5-foot-7 combo guard caught our attention with her shot-making in the first game of the day. It was not so much that she was making shots, but how she was making them. She has good balance and connects on shots off the move. Her energy on the floor was apparent for her team. We will keep an eye on her development over the coming season.

Hailey Hunt – SOA – 2030

Hunt earned her place on this list with consistent play over the course of the last three weekends. She is a talented young point guard with a slick handle and advanced instinct for her age. She puts continual pressure on the defense by attacking the rim to score. She also has a terrific counter with a step-back in the midrange. Her future is promising as a playmaker and scorer.
