Coach Bobby Kennen and the UNF staff make it a priority to secure in-state talent for the Osprey program. So, it comes as no surprise that they have extended offers to guard Bryce Hoffert of Windermere High School and post Kyle Blair of The First Academy. Both prospects showcased their talents with Sunshine Elite on the OTR Circuit this year.
Hoffert was named the MVP of the 16U Circuit. He is a 6-foot-6 perimeter player who played an assortment of roles for coach John Elgani this season. This is what Josh Tec had to write about Hoffert from the Final Run this July:
Bryce Hoffert was consistently great throughout the run to the 16U OTR Circuit championship. He’s just a savvy player on both ends of the floor. Offensively, his passing is what stood out the most. Always on target, seldomly overzealous, Hoffert was able to put his guys in the best situations to score with his distribution. Hoffert is a shooting threat and an opportunistic, smart scorer around the basket.
He is noted as a shooting specialist, but his all-around game plus his size makes him a valuable next level target. He projects as an ideal wing at the next level. His size, mobility, and shooting accuracy make him adaptable in an array of collegiate systems.
Kyle Blair is a player that our staff got familiar with in July at the Final Run. He is a 6-foot-10 post who is runs the court well, agile, and brings effort to the floor consistently. His development is far from being complete. He impacts the game immediately as a shot blocker and finisher in transition.
