OTR Hoops: Final Roundup from The Gauntlet – April 19, 2024

SUMTERVILLE, Florida, – On the Radar Hoops returns to Florida for the second annual The Gauntlet. This year’s edition features many of the top programs in the state of Florida as well as competitive independent teams from around the Southeast. Here is a final look at the top performers at the event.

By: Jonathan Hemingway

Austin Davenport – North Point Youth – 2024

Davenport brings ideal size and athleticism to the floor. He is well-suited to playing a combo-forward at the next level. He can defend taller players around the rim and has the mobility to guard wings around the arc. It was his shooting ability that caught our attention on Saturday morning. He drained multiple 3-pointers as well as displayed fluidity of motion while slashing to the bucket.

Lucca Reinehr – Sunshine Elite – 2024

We think that Reinehr is an overlooked prospect readymade for collegiate basketball and the modern game. He is a 6-foot-8 forward with a Euro-feel to the game. He can bully defenders on the backdown post up and score at awkward angles. He possesses IQ and sees the game as a facilitator on the low block. His size and feel are complemented by his face-up game as well. Strength, touch, and passing ability are a bundle of skills that are hard to overlook in today’s game.

Fredy Sylla – Southeast Elite – 2024

Sylla is another unsigned senior with the tools ready to help a collegiate program this calendar year. He is a rim runner capable of finishing off the pick and roll or by finishing in transition. His quick twitch jumping ability allows him to snag rebounds off the glass ahead of opponent’s outstretched arms. Do not discount Sylla’s ball skill either. There is room to the upside with his offensive game this is ready to blossom in the right system.

Tre Jackson – 1 Family – 2025

Jackson meshed beautifully within the 1 Family roster last weekend. He is a prospect with size and skill. He possesses the length, strength and athleticism needed to defend multiple spots on the floor. Those physical characteristics are also critical in his offensive output. He proved he can knockdown the perimeter jumper as well as finish in traffic versus contact. Keep Jackson on your radar as an emerging prospect within the state of Florida.

Marcel Ksiazek – KAA Kings – 2025

Ksiazek is a post player who is finding his rhythm and balance as a prospect. He appears to measure in around 6-10 with a wingspan that allows him to affect the game in the paint. He also is confident facing the basket around the top of the key. Most importantly, Ksiazek plays hard. He has a motor and has a youthful attitude that is infectious. We were impressed with his enthusiasm even while on the court or the bench as he cheered for his teammates.

Isaiah Lindor – Tampa Blue Rays – 2025

We found prospects all weekend who we marked as sleepers or must recruit type players. But Lindor is a guy that we are exceptionally optimistic about. He is a 6-4 wing who is physically chiseled. He throws his weight around the paint as a strong and powerful forward. But as the weekend progressed, we saw the true diversity of his game. He is a transition finisher with flair and power. He accents those skills with a 3-point shot that makes everyone pay attention. It is too early to project where Lindor can play, but I am not putting a ceiling on that projection yet.

Andrew Signorelli – Limitless – 2025

Signorelli is a kid that is fun to watch. He plays the game with authentic enthusiasm and appears to be a genuine teammate. He got onto our radar with a five 3-pointer game on Saturday afternoon. He is a prospect that has size and versatility. He uses his length to gather rebounds on the defensive end. And yet he can step out to stretch the defense on the offensive end.
