OTR Hoops News: Manny Green commits to Tennessee

The University of Tennessee landed its second commit in the Class of 2026 recruiting cycle, with the latest being 6-foot-6 small forward Manny Green, out of Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Georgia, last week.

Green chose the Volunteers over Auburn, California, Georgia Tech, and South Florida.

Green joins 6-foot-8 small forward Ralph Scott, out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, who committed to Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Volunteers last month. Green is ranked just outside of the Top 100 when it comes to the national rankings but is the No. 5-ranked player in the state of Georgia, according to numerous recruiting services.

Green brings a two-way blend when it comes to his skillset, where he can create his own shot on the offensive end as well as attack the rim, being unafraid when it comes to finishing through contact. Defensively, Green has a ton of instincts where he can guard multiple positions as well as utilize his length and athleticism to apply consistent pressure in the passing lanes. He is also a tone setter when it comes to being active on the glass and can push the pace as well as play with a high IQ.

During his junior season at Cedar Grove, Green averaged a team-high 18.9 points per game, leading the Saints to the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class AAA Championship Game before eventually coming up short against Sandy Creek. The Saints finished the 2024-2025 season with a 28-4 record.

During the Grassroots season, Green played for Nightrydas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit, where he was a solid piece, averaging 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 42% from the field.
