OTR Hoops: Power 24 Standouts (JPM) – July 22, 2025

A list of standouts from the Power 24.

By: Jaron Pierre Mathurine

Nixon Wright 2027 6’5 G/F 2027 1 of 1 Elite

Wright is a physical wing that excels getting downhill and has a sneaky wingspan which allows him to block multiple jumpers and lays at the rim. Made multiple athletic jams and showed a will to compete even when his team was on the losing end. Fearless competitor, who takes on the challenge of being a leader for this group and wants to make the big plays.

Cordarius White 2026 Tre Mann

White is a big guard that plays physical and understands how to use his size at the guard spot. His wingspan and reach helped him disrupt ball handlers and passing lanes defensively which created easy transition for his team who likes to play quick. Showed he can knock down the 3 and lead a group. Consistency and still playing even more aggressively will be key for him.

Addison Dyer 6’0 G 2026 AOT

Dyer is a shifty guard had the defense on their toes in his win over Ga Canes who possessed some gritty defensive guards. Connected on 6 3s from multiple spots on the court and showed a good style of pace when handling the ball. Got to his spots well, played fast and under control and did a good job facilitating. Turned a lot of heads with this performance and left his name as one to monitor for this upcoming season.

Emmanuel Kamara 6’8 F 2026 Hoopsquad

Kamara is one of the more physical players in the event, EK was strong in the post, had a soft touch around the rim, showed the ability to knock down j and made some good passes out of the post. Above the rim finisher when he attacks downhill having multiple rim rocking jams driving baseline. Does a good job going around wider bags and is physical enough to bully smaller post players.

Adrian Falayi 6’1 G 2026 Ga Legacy

Falayi helped lead a double-digit comeback in win over AOT behind his motor and defensive efforts. The game sealing possession was him picking up 3 straight blocks on the same play to seal it. Does the dirty work needed for a group, solid mid-range game, and has a nice frame for him that allows him to get to the rim and help the team crash for rebounds. Solid player and efforts on the weekend.

Nickalai Anderson 6’7 F 2026 Team Mookie

Anderson is a versatile, 3 level scorer with a high motor. Every game we watched he started with a transition jam or an easy lay just playing with high energy out the gate. Good size at the wing spot and with this last year of development can really add to his frame to make him that much more impactful.

Junior Phillips 6’8 F/C 2027 Atlanta Xpress

Big kid who pops out at you. Plays well on his feet and as the contest went on he showed off a nice shooting touch around the rim especially his ft jumpers. As he continues to grow into his body and get comfortable, his performances should become routine. Sound space eater and rim protector as well.

Byron Lee 6’7 F/G 2027 World Smash

Lee caught my attention in his win over AOT with his above the rim play along with shooting. He mixes the two well and knows how to utilize his size and energy to his advantage. Strong line driver downhill and finishes everything above the rim, but his shooting ability is what really makes him one to note. Physical rebounder and length on defense see him altering shots left and right.

Emmanuel Ouedraogo 6’9 F 2029 AOT

EO and his AOT group were playing 2 grades up and really held their own. EO was physical in the post, showed the ability to put the ball on the floor, and defended well with his high motor. As he continues to put in the reps, his size and abilities will only help this team produce more convincing wings. One to monitor.

Sylva Okauru 6’6 F 2028 Team Wall

Okauru was brought in to match the size of Atlanta Xpress and did a good job battling. Physical, wide frame, he did a good job snagging rebounds and finished at a high level offensively around the rim. Showed nice paint patience and presence and as he continues to work on his game should see him earning more minutes playing up. He also came up with the steal and gw lay the sudden death win over Atlanta Xpress.

Noah Baqai 5’11 G 2028 Team Work

We liked the efforts he played with at the guard spot. Physical, vocal, high IQ guard, Baqai was effective with the ball in his hands making plays and creating for others. Did a good job getting to the line and with his shifty handle gave defenders fits staying in front of him. Brought that FLA dog with him and proved to be a guard that you will hear about in the future.

Brandon Nelson 6’3 G 2026 AC Georgia

Nelson has made a standout list for me as a true 2-way guard, but this weekend the offensive part of his game was raising some eyebrows. He gets to his spot with ease, plays strong and connected well on his mid-range jumper. Compare that with his desire to play defense, BN continues to trend in the right direction and turning himself into a true impact player.
