Cleveland State lands commitment from Point Guard Dylan Foster
By: Ross Van De Griek
6-foot-3 senior point guard Dylan Foster, out of Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, announced his commitment to Cleveland State University on Tuesday night. Foster had offers from D2 Barry University and Stetson University in addition to Cleveland State during his recruitment process.
Foster Played For 1Family Hoops During the Grassroots Season
Foster has the intangibles to create his own shot, whether it’s off the catch or bounce. He brings elite speed and quickness with the basketball in his hands, making the right reads and creating separation from the defender with his quick release.
Foster Is an Underrated Defender
Foster can create a ton of havoc in the passing lanes and doesn’t shy away from the competition, where he can compete with the best of them. His energy can turn defense into offense in a hurry as well.
Edgewater Nearly Made Final Four Appearance During the 2024-2025 Season
The Eagles finished last season with a 20-9 record and reached the Class 6A, Region 2 Final before losing in a five-overtime thriller to Orlando Evans, who ended up reaching the state championship game.
