Washington Jr. Made National Noise at NBPA Top 100 Camp
During the summer, Washington Jr. made an appearance at the NBPA Top 100 camp in Rock Hill, where he climbed up the recruiting rankings. He brought a ton of fluidity to his game, as well as scoring in double figures in every game he played in. Washington averaged 15.2 points per game, where most of his scoring came off highlight dunks as well as expanding his game, becoming more comfortable when it came to shooting from the mid-range as well as from behind the arc.
Washington Made an Appearance on the Under Armour Circuit
During the Grassroots season, Washington played for B-Maze Elite, which is part of the Under Armour Association Circuit (UAA), where he averaged 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, 1.1 steals, and 1.3 assists per game.
247Sports Director of Scouting Adam Finkelstein on Washington: Washington is one of the highest-level athletes in the national class. He’s an extreme leaper who makes it look almost effortless when he gets his head on the rim. He can rise to catch lobs, fly at the offensive glass for tip-dunks, or throw down the type of open-floor dunks that can immediately change the momentum of a game. Washington is also a super smooth runner who sprints the floor with long, fluid strides. He has terrific wing size with long arms and long legs, but that high center of gravity and lean build make it difficult for him to hold his ground, even though he’s not averse to contact.
