PLAYERS FEATURED
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — On The Radar took the best independent platform in the south to Alabama this past weekend.
Two days of hoops saw plenty of talented players take center stage and shine to open the travel season.
Here are some of the names to know from the weekend:

Caleb Brooks - AR Elite Hoyas - 2028
Brooks just did the right things for AR Elite over the weekend. He’s a guard who can play both on and off the ball and score from multiple levels. Brooks makes good decisions, moves the ball, makes quality passes as well. When he sees one go down, he can knock down a few shots in a row from deep. He’s a solid guard to watch in Bama.

Jake Cloud - TGE - 2028
Playing up a division, Cloud showed that he can put points on the board fast for TGE. It’s his shooting that’s the biggest threat. He’s a floor spacer with a quick release. Cloud has deep range on his shot too. As the spring goes on, he should be a name that continues to generate buzz.

Jarvis Williams - Warner Robins Allstars - 2028
From one of the best shooters to another, Jarvis Williams is a name that people around Georgia will want to get to know because he can get hot from deep. He’s playing up with the 17U Warner Robins Allstars and helping form a young but potent scoring backcourt. He’ll be an OTR Circuit fixture for the next couple of seasons.

Kaden Cantrell - TGE - 2027
Cantrell was a good source of offense for TGE. He balances scoring and distributing well. Cantrell can get going from three when he needs to, or he can attack the rim. He has a good feel for where his teammates are and looks to create advantages to get them the ball in easy-to-score situations. It was a really solid weekend to build spring momentum for him.

Stone Richards - Georgia Canes - 2027
Richards has shown in recent viewings that he can be counted on to make shots. He can be a microwave scorer in that regard and change the complexion of a game with his shotmaking. This was the case during a Saturday game when he knocked down multiple shots and helped create a comfortable lead for the Georgia Canes.

Trae McGrew - Promise Elite - 2028
Promise Elite had an outstanding trip to Birmingham. On a Sunday viewing, McGrew was one of the drivers of their success. McGrew isn’t afraid of taking big shots. He has reason to be confident in himself because he can hit shots too. McGrew hit a late-game shot that sealed the deal for Promise Elite and hit four 3-pointers in the game.
