PLAYERS FEATURED
On the Radar officially tipped off the travel season with its annual 'The Opening' tournament. This tournament featured teams from 15U-17U from across the southeast. This will be a 3 part series.

Khamani Radford | 2027 | Be Great: Khamani Radford is a long, athletic wing who proved effective both inside and on the perimeter. His size gives him a natural advantage, and as his consistency continues to grow throughout the travel season, he’s becoming a tough matchup, especially when attacking the rim.

Bryston Reynolds | 2027 | Georgia Suns: Bryston Reynolds is a high‑motor prospect who leaves everything on the floor. He impacted the game on both ends and consistently proved he’s a winner. Reynolds plays with relentless energy, pressuring on defense and finishing with force on the other end. He’s a tough player for anyone to contain.

MarTaiveis Rice | 2027 | Gold Elite: 6’4” W MarTaiveis Rice is a Savannah prospect worth keeping on the radar. He’s a bouncy, electric playmaker who proved effective both inside and out. Rice created offense with ease, knocking down tough mid‑range shots and finishing through traffic at the rim. A high‑flying athlete, he also provided strong rim protection on the defensive end.

Caleb Robbins | 2028 | Formula Elite Academy: 5’11” G Caleb Robbins is a prospect who grows more confident every time he steps on the floor. He was especially impressive from beyond the arc, consistently knocking down threes at a high clip. Robbins has also expanded his game, showing he can pull up in the mid‑range or attack the basket and finish with control.

Labron Shackelford | 2029 | Formula Elite Academy: Labron Shackelford is one of the youngest players I saw that quickly stood out. Shackelford has the ultimate guard package and plays with high maturity. Shackelford was able to impact the game by knocking down shots in bunches and by getting his teammates involved. Shackelford did well running the lead guard spot and handling the ball in traffic.

Noah Smith | 2027 | WCW: Noah Smith is a prospect who has truly begun to come into his own. His confidence has grown tremendously since last travel season, and he showed it by putting his team on his back down the stretch. Smith plays with great pace and, paired with his high motor, proved difficult for opponents to slow down. He’s a rim‑to‑rim presence with soft hands and sound footwork, making him a consistent threat on both ends.

Keaton Watkins | 2027 | Georgia Legacy: 6’7” F Keaton Watkins was a major difference‑maker in Legacy’s tight win. He pulled down several tough, physical rebounds and stayed steady from start to finish. Watkins also showed his ability to stretch the floor by confidently knocking down shots from beyond the arc.

Michael Wright | 2027 | Gold Elite: 6’4” G Michael Wright was a name that came up repeatedly among evaluators all weekend. He seemed to be wherever the ball was, making impact plays on both ends. Wright is a high‑motor, highly engaged player who did a little bit of everything for his team. A physical, fearless prospect, he never shies away from contact.

Jiothiang Wuor | 2027 | Team Smash Pro: 6’9” W Jiothiang Wuor was one of the most advanced bigs I evaluated over the weekend. He stretched the floor with confident, high‑percentage shooting and showed he could finish above the rim when given space to attack off the bounce. Wuor’s blend of touch, mobility, and playmaking makes him an intriguing prospect who deserves attention at the next level.
