Chase Lumpkin, A 6-foot-5 senior shooting guard of McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, narrowed down his top schools to six on Friday night. Lumpkin will consider the following schools: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, and USC. Before trimming his list, Lumpkin was receiving offers from Arizona State, Auburn, California, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon, and several others. 

During his recruitment process, Lumpkin has taken official visits to Michigan and USC so far. He also intends to visit the University of Alabama next weekend. He has not scheduled any future official visits with the other three remaining schools currently.

Lumpkin is the No. 26 overall-ranked recruit in the nation, the No. 6 ranked shooting guard, and the No. 3 overall-ranked player in the state of Georgia in the class of 2027, according to 247Sports.

During the Grassroots season, Lumpkin played for Jet Academy on the Nike EYBL Circuit, where he averaged 17.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. 

Lumpkin was invited to participate with Team USA for their Training Camp session in Colorado Springs earlier this year. He was also a participant in the Minicamp session back in April in Indianapolis.

During his junior season at McEachern, Lumpkin earned All-State honors after leading the Indians to a Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class AAAAAA State Championship game appearance before their season came up short of a title against Wheeler on March 7.

Scouting Report on Chase Lumpkin: Lumpkin operates more like a combo guard, where his versatile scoring package makes him more of a shooting guard. He can dictate pace by pushing the basketball in transition, as well as making smart decisions in the half-court offense. He can also create his own shot against tight coverage, as well as find efficient scoring opportunities for his teammates. On the defensive end, he plays with a ton of length, where he can disrupt opposing guards from getting any rhythm or a solid look to score. He also creates problems in the passing lanes, as well as showcasing his athleticism when creating havoc around the rim. Overall, his good size and length will be a cornerstone as he will play a variety of roles when he gets to the next level.
