GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The scholastic Live Period is officially underway, where 60+ college coaches and over 130 teams across the Southeast region are on full display. Here are six (6) players who stood out on the final day of the event:

Tyler Sabec - Calvary Christian (FL) - 2028

The 6-foot-10 rising junior power forward played a key role in the morning game, as Madden Geiger didn’t suit up as he continues to recover from a high-ankle sprain against Viera, where he scored inside as well as in the mid-range on the offensive end. Sabec finished with a game-high 21 points in the win, where his inside-out scoring continues to be a focal point in his overall growth. On the defensive end, he guarded multiple positions with purpose and used his length to alter shots around the rim and snatch timely rebounds.

James Ratteree - Bartow (FL) - 2028

The 6-foot-1 rising junior point guard is lightning-quick when it comes to having the basketball in his hands, where he can hurt you in a variety of ways. In the win over Saint Andrew’s, he led the way with a game-high 25 points, including the game-winning layup with three seconds remaining in regulation. He continues to add new adjustments to his game, where he was efficient in the mid-range as well as being unafraid when it comes to absorbing contact at the rim. On defense, he uses his speed to stay in front of opposing guards and his elite athleticism to cut off passing lanes, force turnovers, and turn defense into offense in a hurry. Stock rising prospect college coaches will get to know by the end of the summer.

Gavin Reed - Coral Glades (FL) - 2027

The 5-foot-11 rising senior point guard is gritty and smart when it comes to his decision-making when he has the basketball in his hands. He broke down multiple defenses with his ability to change speed and direction, where he can finish at the front of the rim and stop on a dime, and he connected on several 3-pointers throughout the game against Lake Highland Prep. On defense, he continues to be a pest with his consistent on-ball pressure, where he was displaying active hands, reading the passing gaps, and utilizing his underrated athleticism when patrolling the glass. Coaches need to start buying stock in the 5-foot-11 rising senior guard.

King McMillian - Hilliard (FL) - 2028

The 6-foot-5 rising junior took over as the lead guard at the beginning of his sophomore season and hasn’t missed a beat on both ends of the floor. Overall, he has grown into a true guard who can make an immediate impact on and off the ball, where he is a consistent threat to the defense. On offense, he is a true matchup nightmare where he can score on all three levels, being unafraid to finish around the rim through contact, and distribute for his teammates on the offensive end. On defense, his size and length continue to be a matchup problem for opposing guards, with his physicality, as well as being able to compete on the glass throughout the game against Hagerty. Overall, his recruitment stock could be just getting started after picking up an offer from Florida Gulf Coast earlier in the day.

Dallas Oliver - North Tampa Christian (FL) - 2028

The 6-foot-2 rising junior point guard has a smooth and strong handle where he can be effective off the bounce anywhere within the half-court on the offensive end. On defense, his length continues to be a matchup problem for opposing guards, where he is active in the passing lanes, forcing turnovers, and getting deflections, which led to steals as well as scores on the offensive end. Oliver continues to raise his stock on why he is one of the top guards in his class for 2028 across the state of Florida. He left a strong impression, and he could be in line for a big recruitment period as the summer continues to roll on.

Camden Cooper - San Jose Prep (FL) - 2027

The 6-foot-7 rising senior guard recently re-classed from 2028 to 2027, remaining as one of the top overall players in the state of Florida. He is a proven scorer who can get off a solid shot against anybody in the open court as well as bring unmatched versatility on both ends of the floor. On offense, he brings his inside-out scoring presence where he can be effective off the catch and dribble at a high level. On the defensive end, he continues to be effective with his length and athleticism, continuing to be a matchup problem for opposing guards. He snatched down timely rebounds and made strong kick-out passes in transition, which led to scores on the offensive end in the wire-to-wire win over Vanguard. His overall, two-way playmaking will continue to be a huge factor in his recruitment as he is expected to announce his college commitment sometime this summer.

Christian Fuller - Victory Christian Academy (FL) - 2027

The 6-foot-3 rising senior shooting guard has a strong feel and understanding of the game, where he didn’t get rattled on the offensive end. He continues to impact the game with not just his scoring but his overall playmaking, where he continues to make the right reads for his teammates on the offensive end. In the win over Andrew Jackson, Fuller finished with a game-high 27 points on 4-of-6 shooting from behind the arc. He followed up with another 20+ point outing where he finished with 24 points in a double-digit win over Edgewater. Overall, he has a nice touch to his game where he can impact the game in a variety of ways. He also picked up an offer from Florida Southern and is expected to have his recruitment heat up over the next couple of weeks.
