PLAYERS FEATURED
Here is a look at six players who competed on the OTR Circuit and showed signs of a breakout high school season. These are six hidden gems to pay attention to this winter.

Jerry Fernandez – Faith Baptist Christian Academy (GA) / Gold Elite – 6-foot-7 Forward – 2028
Fernandez suffered an injury at the beginning of the spring and never got a full chance to show his skill this year. Reports coming out of Ludowici, Georgia, say he is back to training and looking strong. The 6-foot-7 forward is athletic and versatile. Coach JaQuez Motley predicts that Fernandez will have a “breakout Junior season.”

Trey Wilson – Victory Baptist School (GA) / PNP – 6-foot-2 Guard – 2029
Wilson earned praise from his coaches this summer as a leader and the player who kept others motivated. He is backing that up with real offensive skill. The lefty has earned attention this fall as an athletic scorer who is ready to take the next step. The 6-foot-2 guard is one to track closely over the next few months.

Landen Render – Creekside High School (GA) / Atlanta Kings – 6-foot-5 Guard – 2027
The Atlanta Kings were loaded with guards this year. Render was in that mix of talented scorers. What should give coaches at the next level a reason to give him another look is his size. At 6-foot-5, he can make a lot of the same moves that quicker, smaller guards make. He has the size to add to the equation. Render was a standout at this July’s Elite 32.

Jayden Mabine – South Central High School (NC) / Warriors Life Elite – 6-foot-2 Guard – 2028
Warriors Life Elite developed a reputation as a hard-nosed program with guards who were hungry to defend and pressure. Sometimes overlooked in those notes was the offensive firepower from Mabine. The 6-foot-2 guard had moments where he was the best shooter on the Circuit. In April at the Carolina Mania in Spartanburg, S.C., he drained nine 3-pointers on his way to a 36-point game. He looks to be working hard this offseason with his eyes on a big junior campaign.

Qua Watson – Central Gwinnett (GA) / Only1Elite – 6-foot-4 Guard – 2027
Watson finished the summer on a heater with Coach Riggs’ squad. He put together a stretch that put him in the conversation with some of the best scorers on the OTR Circuit. He has stretched out to 6-foot-4 heading into his senior year and will suit up for the Black Knights at Central Gwinnett. We will be watching to see what is in store for him this season.

Adrian Guzman – Team Gold Coast / Coral Glades (FL) – 6-foot-3 Guard – 2028
Guzman is a player who should draw more attention in the coming months. He is a 6-foot-3 guard with a pretty jumper. His release is consistent and he finishes with a clean wrist snap. He has some ball skill and creativity to finish off the move. There is a sense he was still figuring out how to put it all together last year. His junior season at Coral Glades should be a pivotal year for him.
