CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — The final Live Period of the season is officially underway, with 160+ teams across three age groups ranging from 15U to 17U. Here are eleven (11) prospects who stood out on Day 3 of the event:

Kevin Rogers Jr - Atlanta Kings OTR - 2027

The 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard was efficient both off the catch and the bounce, where he knocked down four 3-pointers in the morning win over PSB Tampa Robbie 17U OTR. He was also assertive when it came to attacking the basket as well as facilitating in the half-court offense. On defense, he guarded multiple positions using his versatility to his advantage, with his length and athleticism. Overall, Rogers did a great job staying composed and made good decisions when he was under pressure. He has made huge strides this summer and has taken a huge momentum swing heading into his senior season.

Promise Palmer - Atlanta Kings OTR - 2027

The 5-foot-9 rising senior point guard is quick and savvy when it comes to displaying his smooth handle, and his decision-making continues to be stellar on the offensive end. He displayed great court vision, making timely reads to his teammates in both the half-court and transition offense. On defense, he used his scrappiness and physicality when it came to making hustle plays in the passing lanes as well as utilizing his athleticism when it came to playing around the rim. His quickness and burst of speed were a factor in forcing turnovers, generating steals, and pushing tempo in transition-scoring opportunities. Palmer’s combination of scoring ability, effort on the defensive end, and overall high basketball IQ has set the tone for his all-around game, where he can contribute in multiple areas. He is highlighted as one of the top guards in the Atlanta area heading into his senior season.

Tyler Barnes - Triangle Offense Elite - 2027

The 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard brought energy, athleticism, and assertiveness on both ends of the floor. On offense, Barnes played with great length and playing with overall confidence whether it was the ability to attack the basket or knock down jump shots from the perimeter on the offensive end. He also brought an active presence on the defensive end, where he used his physical tools to guard multiple positions and make plays within space on the floor. His athleticism allowed him to be disruptive in the passing lanes, where he was getting deflections and generating steals, which led to scores on the offensive end. Barnes’ combination of size, speed, and alertness allows him to be one of the top two-way guards in the event. His presence on both ends will make an immediate impact as he carries a load of momentum going into his senior season.

Chase Mohn - Triangle Offense Elite - 2027

The 6-foot-2 rising senior combo guard showed his high-level scoring ability, as he was efficient both on and off the ball in the win over Palmetto City Hurricanes. He showed creativity getting his teammates involved early and often in the possession. On the defensive end, he created havoc where he stayed engaged and used his length to alter shots and get deflections. He also showed great effort when it came to guarding on the perimeter and using his quickness when it came to challenge opposing guards. Overall, Mohn provided steady production on both ends of the floor where he was able to score, finish, play-make for his teammates, and set the tone with his defensive ability.

Gavin Reed - Team Gold Coast OTR - 2027

The 5-foot-11 rising senior point guard contributed on both ends of the floor, where he plays under control and stays aggressive. On the offensive end, Reed scored from the perimeter both off the catch and dribble in the win over Team EYA Black. On the defensive end, he competed on the perimeter and stayed active against opposing guards whether it was applying pressure or defending the passing lanes. He used his effort and speed to disrupt offensive flow as well as contributing on the glass, where he would get tips and deflections leading to transition-scoring opportunities. Overall, Reed’s activity both as the primary ballhandler and as a defender has made huge strides in his game, and he will carry a load of momentum heading into his senior season.

Donovan Swain - Team Gold Coast OTR - 2027

The 6-foot-3 rising senior combo guard was effective when it came to creating his own shot off the bounce as well as the catch on the offensive end. He also did a good job when it came to setting up his own looks to score both as the primary ballhandler and playing off the ball. On the defensive end, he stayed active, disrupting the passing lanes, competing for possessions, and generating steals, which led to scores on the opposite end. Swain’s combination of scoring, playmaking, defending at a high level, and playing with a high motor has set the tone throughout the weekend.

Tysen Jefferson - XPC Elite - 2027

The 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard did a great job when it came to creating scoring opportunities for both him and his teammates on the offensive end. He also showed aggressiveness in the open floor as well as using his quickness to pursue the passing gaps and attack downhill. On the defensive end, he stayed active when it came to his on-the-ball pressure and being active in the passing lanes. Overall, his impact on both ends of the floor provided instant energy for both himself and his teammates.

Ayo Awosanya - Elite 1 - 2029

The 6-foot-6 rising sophomore wing recently re-classed from 2028 to 2029, where he is a long and wiry forward who showed excellent footwork both inside and out on the perimeter on the offensive end. On defense, he showcased his versatility, where he altered shots around the rim, snatched timely rebounds, and played sound defense across all three levels. Awosanya’s combination of scoring ability, smooth handle, confidence in his playmaking, and contributing in multiple ways continues to set the tone for his all-around game. Awosanya is already being recruited by Campbell, Iona, Presbyterian, and UNC-Pembroke. 

Bryce Hoffert - Sunshine Elite OTR - 2027

The 6-foot-6 rising senior guard used his length and athleticism to his advantage when it came to finishing around the rim as well as showcasing his handle when it came to scoring in the mid-range. He also did all the gritty work, where he kept possessions alive with his timely rebounding and making extra passes to his teammates. On defense, he was playing the passing lanes, as well as generating steals and deflections, which led to transition-scoring opportunities for his teammates at the other end. Overall, his two-way playmaking abilities helped his team pick up a pair of wins over Georgia Canes and Elite 1.

Whitfield Bynoe - Sunshine Elite OTR - 2027

Bynoe is a high-IQ player who doesn’t get rattled when it comes to forcing a bad shot or making a mistake on the offensive end. He is truly patient when he has the basketball in his hands, as he can impact the game whether it’s shooting from the three-point line or finishing at the front of the rim at the point of attack. Bynoe’s quickness and shiftiness allow him to create advantages off the bounce where he can get to the paint, creating scoring chances and finishing effectively around the rim. He has played with a high level of confidence where he was able to take control of possessions when his team needed a play to be made on the offensive end. Bynoe’s combination of ball-handling, shot-making, and ability to display high IQ on the floor has carried his team this season, as well as giving him a load of momentum going into his senior season.

Kade Manley - XPC Elite - 2027

The 6-foot-1 rising senior guard is a great shot creator who can score across all three levels on the offensive end. He also did a great job when it came to changing pace and getting his teammates involved on the offensive end. In the win over Palm Beach Aces, Manley finished with a game-high 26 points, during which he made six 3-pointers on nine attempts. Manley also displayed a great feel and understanding of the game, where he remains assertive on when to attack versus being a facilitator on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he did a great job when it came to competing and using great body positioning, where he stayed in front of opposing guards. Manley’s high motor allows him to play a mature and versatile role for his team, displaying great leadership and having elite court awareness on both ends of the floor. Manley has scored in double figures in all five games throughout the weekend so far.
