The Power 24 is rolling and we saw a lot of good basketball today. We put together lists of guys from the OTR Circuit who we believed would have a big July. Some of them showed exactly why we liked them, while others took advantage of the stage and made their mark. Here are some of the players who stood out.

Living Up to Expectations

We put together our lists of players from the OTR Circuit who we thought would have a big July. Predictions are never perfect, but these guys backed up the talk with good performances today.

Class of 2028 Cameron Blackman has been a steady force for HWPO 16U all year. He recognition from @MathurineAgency today for how physical he got on drives.

Class of 2027 Xion Evans is about as sure of a thing as there is for scoring 20 points this summer. He dropped 26 and helped All Georgia Elite beat the Palm Beach Sharks.

Lucas Fainter of Georgia Legacy is a name to watch this month. The 6-foot-2 guard from the class of 2028 is one of those rare multi-tool prospects who can score, defend, and pass. He played a big part in their win over Warrior’s Life Elite this morning.

Taking Advantage

Just because a player did not get a lot of attention heading into July does not mean his chance is gone. The guys who step up when it matters most are the ones coaches remember.

Class of 2027 Griffin Reese scored a game-high 25 points in Georgia Legacy’s win over Warrior’s Life Elite. He was in the right spots and showed a nice consistent touch from outside.

Class of 2027 Ian Kelly has made the most of the big stage this weekend. He already had a 40-point game earlier in the tournament and picked up an offer from Huntingdon College. We saw him score 29 points this morning in a strong performance with Thunder Select.

Class of 2029 wing Evan Edwards still has some high school ball left, but he is taking advantage of his chances with Hoopgrind. His size and athleticism are tough to handle at this level.

Shining Bright

Our scouts have been watching the top guys on the Circuit all year. What matters now is who shines the brightest this month. Here are a few who stood out today.

Sunshine Elite has been one of the strongest teams on the Circuit. On a roster full of talent, guard Cory McPherson keeps showing his worth. The high-energy guard makes an impact on defense, finishes strong at the rim, and his jumper has been falling this weekend.

Class of 2027 Graham Titus is gaining traction this month. After an offer from Southern Indiana, we expect more to come as he plays big minutes with Sewer South. The 6-foot-6 guard can score from deep and at the rim.

Class of 2027 point guard Devin Chester caught our eye with his tough play this morning in Team EYA’s win. The Morrow High School product took charges, handed out assists, and scored when it counted most.

Lights Out

We are always looking for the best shooters. These guys have been lighting it up at the Power 24.

We flagged class of 2027 guard Daniel Collins as a top shooter on the Circuit. He proved it with seven made threes in a win for Georgia Fire. The 6-foot-2 Whitewater High School prospect is earning trust from teammates and coaches.

Class of 2028 guard Toby Strech is making his case for top shooter this weekend. He knocked down eight threes in one game and finished with a game-high 29 points. Defenders get stuck choosing whether to stay home on him or help on Atlanta Standard’s drivers.

Triangle Offense Elite played Sewer South in one of the better games of the afternoon. Even though they came up short, guard Tyson Barnes showed he can hang with the top competition. His shooting touch and consistency are as good as we have seen this year.
