OTR Hoops: Winter Showcase Preview

KENNESAW, Ga.- On The Radar Hoops presents the annual Winter Showcase this Saturday, hosted by North Cobb Christian School. Ten of the premier teams from the Atlanta-Metro area will be on display, playing in front of our scouts and media. Here is a preview of all five games that will be on display.

Cherokee vs. North Cobb Christian- 8:00 p.m.

Cherokee Players to Watch: 2027 6’3 CG Braylon Luster, 2026 6’1 PG Hampton Cox, 2026 6’6 PF Sean Hamilton

North Cobb Christian Players to Watch: 2027 5’10 PG Grant Robich, 2027 6’8 Center Xavier Butler, 2027 6’4 CG Isaiah Chandler, 2028 6’3 CG Tyson Matta

Our final matchup of the Winter Showcase brings us two guards who have a ton of experience playing big-time games in their illustrious high school careers in Grant Robich for North Cobb Christian and Braylon Luster for Cherokee. Junior center Xavier Butler for North Cobb Christian should draw a ton of attention in this matchup with his ability to finish inside as well as out on the perimeter.

Kell vs. Peachtree Ridge- 6:30 p.m.

Kell Players to Watch: 2027 6’3 SG Max Cook, 2027 6’1 CG Trey Smith, 2027 6’1 PG BJ Love

Peachtree Ridge Players to Watch: 2026 6’5 SG Micah McMorris, 2027 6’1 PG Noah Jones, 2027 6’1 PG Tyler Barnes

The penultimate matchup of the event features two programs with high expectations this season in their respective classifications. Keep an eye on junior guard Trey Smith for the Longhorns and senior guard Micah McMorris for the Lions as we expect a back-and-forth battle.

Southwest Macon vs. Pebblebrook- 5:00 p.m.

Southwest Macon Players to Watch: 2026 6’3 CG Chase Dupree, 2026 5’8 CG Caron “CJ” Howard, 2027 6’4 SF Alex Butts

Pebblebrook Players to Watch: 2026 6’2 PG Zyree Brown (Kennesaw State signee)

If you like two-way guards who play at a hard level, then this is the matchup for you, as Chase Dupree and Zyree Brown are two of the top guards not just in the Atlanta area, but in the Peach State overall. CJ Howard will also be a factor in this matchup for Southwest Macon, where he is averaging over 21 points per game this season.

Woodstock vs. Westlake- 3:30 p.m.

Woodstock Players to Watch: 2028 6’0 CG Jahmar Maurice, 2026 6’0 CG Camden Smith, 2027 6’7 PF Joshua Schulze

Westlake Players to Watch: 2028 6’6 SF Johnquell Garner, 2026 6’5 SF Ramarcus Bowden, 2026 6’1 SG Nathan Johnson

Our second matchup of the day brings us where Woodstock will look to keep their unbeaten start to the season to the test, taking on a scrappy Westlake team led by sophomore two-way wing Johnquell Garner. Woodstock has been led this season by sophomore combo guard Jahmar Maurice, who can impact a game in a variety of ways.

South Cobb vs. Chapel Hill- 2:00 p.m.

South Cobb Players to Watch: 2027 6-3 SG Adrian Dillard, 2026 6’3 SF Tabari Moulder, 2027 6’4 PF Jamarcus Lewis

Chapel Hill Players to Watch: 2026 6’1 SG Donovan Petidos, 2028 6’3 SF Jakobe Fleming, 2026 6’4 SF Trent Dean

The opening matchup features two teams with a ton of youth in their backcourt, where South Cobb is led by junior Adrian Dillard, and on the other side, Chapel Hill is led by sophomore wing Jakobe Fleming. The Panthers come into the event having won two of their last three games, while the Eagles will look to get back on the right track and snap a four-game losing streak.
