Deivon Smith Player Evaluation

Strengths: Smith continues to show why he is an elite level point guard in the 2020 class. His performance at the OTR Tip-Off Classic led his team to an easy win. When his team needed him to run the offense and get them under control, he did, illustrating his effectiveness in the point position. Smith was able to break away from the offense and create plays for himself and teammates. Smith is a special talent in the open court, his speed with the basketball, ability to pass and make decisions with the ball in his hands are impressive.

Areas of Improvement: Smith is capable of connecting on jumpers from multiple levels. However, this will be an area where he will want to show consistency. If he can make defenders honor him out beyond the arc on a regular basis, it will open up the rest of his game for a greater impact.
